Blog Candy is Here

Well, as promised, here is some blog candy for some lucky person! Thanks so much to all of you who visit me; I know lots of you don't or can't leave responses, but so many have told me they enjoy visiting and hopefully have gotten ideas or helpful hints!!! Again, thank you! To participate in my drawing, you've got to leave me a post, either here or on my email. Here's what I want to know:
What do you do with your cards? I know some people "collect" their cards, and have quite a stash! Some people mail them right out, some people swap them, sell them....what do you do with yours? Whenever I do a workshop, I like to tell people this is my ministry....making cards to send to others, to help encourage them or make their day!! So I hope that's part of what you do, too! Leave me a post to let me know what you do with all the cards you make, and I'll do a drawing on Thursday, April 17 for the goodies shown above:
  • A brand-new Stampin'Up! Simply Scrappin Kit - Friends & Flowers
  • A ready-to-decorate Accents & Elements tin with a couple Sweet Nothings self-adhesive elements
  • Some assorted SU ribbon
  • A brand-new 4-yard roll of ribbon from Mike's
Remember, leave a post here or click on my contact information, then "email" and my email address will appear at the bottom left of your screen to contact me in that manner. Can't wait to hear your responses!!

What great blog candy!! I have a refurbished old screen door that the screen is taken out of. There is copper wire strung across in diamond shapes. I use mini clothespins and hang my special RAKS and also cards that I have made that I love that I want to keep. Others go into a plastic container for mailing out. I generally recycle them all every three years (I mean send them out and start over - not put them in the recycling! LOL!). Some friends and I send a lot of cards to soldiers and those on teh SCS Need a Lift forum!

I do all of those things with mine. If it is for a occasion I will usually mail it right out - after making one more if I really love the design. I have joined several swaps lately to force me to make some more cards and send them rather than hoard them. I was looking back at some that I have been hoarding because I loved them so much and found I don't love them as much now, so I need to send them out or give them to our LSS Meals on Wheels effort. They are good cards, but just not so much my current style. I do have a few I won't part with and I know it's silly, but that's just the way it is :-)

How neat! I love the goodies! I do all of the above with my cards, and a few other things as well. I love to take cards and/or card fronts and mount them onto 5x7 card stock and then frame them to give away to those people in my life who love to receive hand-made gifts. I also have been know to put them into albums, so that people who come to my home or to my workshops can see them. Thanks for all the great inspiration LeAnne!

My Daughter and I are new to the stamping community and boy do we have alot to learn! We keep all the cards we made in a pretty wicker basket unless they were mailed off to that someone special.

LeAnne - I enjoy seeing all of the different cards and projects you do. I love making cards for gifts. I usually make 10 or 12 cards and tie them up with ribbon and send them on their merry way to friends or family. I also keep some around - especially difficult ones, and use them as a guide. Other than that they are just sent out for birthdays, Mother's Day, Father's Day and if I am terribly ambitious...Christmas.

Cheers and thanks for all you do.

I tried to send most of my cards out. Although, if I make a card design for a class then they usually just end up in my stash. :)

Hey LeAnne-
My first blog comment....
Most of my cards are given away as special gifts. I can't keep them because I feel like I am being selfish. Weird? I know....

Well some I give away and some are just so beautiful that I can't give them away so I put them in a box that is divided into categories so that I can C.A.S.E. and then send them out. I always put a twist of my own into them and don't sign ones that I C.A.S.E. cause that would feel like claiming someones idea as mine.
Even though this is my first post here I like your blog very much!
Thanks for the great giveaway!

What amazing blog candy!
I tend to stash or mail them out right away depending on what the occassion is. However, last year I gave my sister 82 cards for Christmas because she always admires them and doesn't have the creative gene so it was a way to use up the stash I collect.

Awesome blog candy, LeAnne! I send my cards to friends/family, give them as gifts and sell them. I too send cards to our church members as a ministry. They enjoy getting them! Thanks too for the chance to win :-)

I send my cards out to help brighten somebody's day. I have a good friend that moved away from EVERYBODY and I send her cards to let her know I am thinking of her all the time.

Well, to be honest, I JUST started sending my cards as RAKs. I had quite the stash until I decided I don't need all of them! I take pictures of every card I make so I know I won't forget what they look like! Why not make someone else's day by sending a random card? That's my new moto! Thanks so much for this awesome blog candy girl!

Most of the cards I make are already intended for someone specific, or for someone's order. I make some to raise money for a breast cancer charity, and I am also selling cards in a craft show for the first time this summer, so I am piling some up for that! I love to give away my cards and it isn't too hard to find an occasion!

What GREAT blog candy!

I send mine out. Sometimes they are made especially for someone or for an occasion and get sent right away. Sometimes I make them knowing I'll need them in the future..those go into a pretty lavender box organized by category like birthday, thank you, love, friendship, etc. And finally, some go to Cards For Heroes for the troops to use to send home to their families and friends. I've made a promise to myself to do this monthly. I think it's a great cause!

So far I only make the cards up as needed, but now I'm going to try to get some ahead. Thanks Kathy Hering...

I keep a box filled with a stash of extra cards so I never have to scramble to make them at the last minute. I also make some basic cards without sentiments that I can use as needed. I love the SS kits for making mass quantities of cards! What a great gift!

Fabulous blog candy! I usually send out most of the cards that I make, as I usually only stamp when I need a card! I hope to be able to do more stamping and then I will probably just send the cards out as Raks or give them away to family and friends in little packets of cards.

Love visiting your blog! What I do with my cards.....well, some just get sent out to family and friends, others I keep to use as a reference later on. If I'm stuck for a birthday or thank you gift, I'll make 10 or 12 cards, tie them with a nice ribbon and send them on their merry way. Most of the recipients love the fact that I have taken the time and effort to make them. I even get requests from work to make retirement or special birthday cards in a 8 1/2 x 11 size for everyone to sign.

Thanks and have a fab day.

Awesome blog candy. So far what I do with mine is keep them in a birthday calendar and also give them as gifts. They were my sister's favorite birthday gift. Thanks for all the great ideas on your site. I check it almost daily for new stuff.

I never have enough cards on hand. I actually make them and send them. I like you believe that this is a gift from God and I use it to the best of my ability.
The card fronts that I receive in swaps I make into cards and donate to the nursing home or whoever needs them and can use them.

What great candy - I use some of the cards I make or family members do, I package them up and give them as gifts and I send them as RAKS.

My Cards...well the intention is to give them away...but I tend to like them so much that I keep them for inspiration at a later time....then keep the inspiration. I have quite the collection now. I really think that it is time to send off the earlier version.lol. The goodie stash really looks fun to work with LeAnn. Thanks for the great site.

Thanks so much for the opportunity to win the blog candy! I generally create my cards with a specific person/occasion in mind, so they usually get sent out. Many here lately have been baby cards, as so many friends are welcoming new additions into their families! When I really love a card that I've made and would like to remember what it looked like, I take a digital photo of it or make a second (duplicate) card for me to keep.

Thanks for sharing such fabulous blog candy.

If I don't send them out right away, I store my cards in a photo box by occasion and when I need one, I can usually find one that fits the bill. When the box gets full, I go through and pull out a fat pile of cards to donate--to churches, hospitals, military organizations, that sort of thing...
