Happy Monday, everyone!  Hope you had a great weekend!  It is definitely spring….I look out the window one minute and it is pouring, and a few minutes later, the sun is shining….crazy!

I am playing with the Freshly Made Sketches sketch this week:

and I am not sure why I am attracted to bold colors this week!  Yesterday was Real Red and today’s creation features Pacific Point:

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Vintage Fashion Thank You

This card is a thank-you to my SIL!  She invited all the women in John’s family to a fund-raising fashion show and luncheon on Saturday, hosted by the Eastern Hemophiliac Association in Philadelphia.  Her husband, John’s brother, was a hemophiliac and died due to complications from a blood transfusion before I even met John.  It is a wonderful organization and we had a lovely time!  I had been perusing some old Workbasket magazines from the late 1950s and when I saw this pattern page, I thought it would be fun to make it into a card for her!

The card itself is 5”x6” in order to accommodate the larger panel; I stamped and embossed the sentiment (from Feb’s Paper Pumpkin), then added some flowers from Pictogram Punches, stamped in Pacific Point on Naturals Ivory.  Other embellishments were some Very Vanilla seam binding and a designer button.  I love these images; this one reminds me of my mom!!

The sentiment from SAB’s Lotus Blossom seemed fitting for the inside:

And here is a shot of all of us:

Hemophilia Luncheon April 18 2015

John’s sister Mimi is to my right, John’s stepmom Trish is to my left, and John’s SIL Colleen is to her left.  Colleen’s DD Olivia is behind Trish and Mimi’s DIL Michele is behind Colleen!  The rest are friends and family of Colleen’s!  The meal was delicious and I actually won a couple of nice door prizes!  A fun day!

And just in case you are missing Cassidy, here is a pic Dana shared with me from yesterday:

PPA245 and CCMC348

DSCF8805

Yay, it’s Friday!  Do you have something awesome planned for this weekend?  It’s a busy one for us, but I squeaked in some stamping time yesterday to make a birthday card for a dear friend.  I thought the Create with Connie & Mary colors were so pretty:

CCMC348

and the Pals Paper Arts sketch was intriguing:

PPA245

so here is my simple card:

A couple of embossed layers, some flowers from Pictogram Punches, a sentiment from And Many More, and some seam binding and baker’s twine to tie it all up:

The matching punch makes cutting out these flowers a cinch!  Have a great day!

I thought both kinds of “piggies” were cute in this pic!

Stampin’ Royalty 240

DSCF4460

Happy Wednesday, everyone!  Hope you’re having a great week so far!  The sweet gals at Stampin’ Royalty asked me if I would be a guest designer this month, and I was honored to accept!  Their challenge this week is “Stamped Backgrounds”….no problem!  I had a zillion ideas in mind!  In the end, though I thought I would combine a couple of sets for my background….here you go:

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Stampin Royalty 240 Amazing Birthday Chalk Lines Good Greetings

I used Chalk Lines and the new hostess set Good Greetings (what an awesome set!), stamping them in Island Indigo on Very Vanilla, alternating the direction of the stamps.  I then added some embellishments from Amazing Birthday (another great set!) in Pumpkin Pie and Soft Sky.  I diecut a Chalk Talk panel, embossed it and cut it apart to make it a wee bit longer to fit behind my cake image:

DSCF4462

I then added some banners and stars (Pictogram Punches) to embellish it.  I also added a Tangelo Twist ribbon….it’s a little darker than Pumpkin Pie, but they definitely complement each other!

DSCF4463

Finally, on the inside, I stamped the sunburst from Kinda Eclectic and a sentiment from Chalk Talk and stapled on a bit of ribbon:

DSCF4464

It’s cool to have a little surprise like that on the inside, don’t you think?

And since I couldn’t stop at just one, I did a collage-style birthday card in monochromatic browns…..I like the images, I just didn’t like the subdued colors after I finished, but I will keep it and send it to some guy who has a “subdued” personality, LOL!!!

It has a lot of sponging and distressing, and I love the font on the sentiment on the inside:

DSCF4459

It’s from the new pholopolymer set called Holiday Invitation….a fun set with lots of seasonal designs and sentiments!

I hope you’ll pop over to the Stampin’ Royalty blog to see what the others have come up with….you’ll be inspired to do some background stamping of your own!

Paper Players 207

DSCF4409

Happy Sunday, peeps!  Another Paper Players challenge for you today, with the lovely Sandy as our hostess, with a super-fun theme!  Check it out:

Now, I LOVE buttons….but I hate paying more to mail cards that are “fat” because of them, so I usually use paper buttons!  But some of my thank-you cards are going to be hand-delivered, so I thought I could get away with REAL buttons for this one!!!

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Paper Players 207 Thank You Pictogram PUnches Stampin Up

My sketch is #239 from Stampin’ Royalty, and I got so carried away, I didn’t notice until after adhering my panels that I have them layered incorrectly!!  Ooops!

I used a sentiment from Another Thank You and the little vase and stems from Pictogram Punches for my focal image:

DSCF4413

The buttons are from the Brights collection a couple of years back…..still have LOTS of them!  And since that right corner looked a little bare, I added another little stem and flower….can you see that faint Pistachio Pudding stem?

DSCF4412

My DPs are All Abloom and Confetti Celebration; I used Strawberry Slush, Pumpkin Pie, Pistachio Pudding and Bermuda Bay for my ink colors!

Now, what button-y creation can you come up with this week?  Can’t wait to see it!  Check out what our other designers did too:

Thanks for visiting today!

Cassidy thought it would be fun to try on my gardening boots!

Happy 4th, everyone!  Are you doing something fun today?  Hope so!  We will be going to a family picnic later on, but right now I have a couple of cards for you!  The first one uses the Freshly Made Sketches from this week:
along with the colors from Hand Stamped Sentiments:
LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Giraffe Stampin Card

I have a friend who is going through some health issues, and she loves giraffes, so I used a 100 Proof Press image with some scraps of DP and cardstock to make her an encouragement card.

DSCF3951

I made a second card with the same colors, CAS, using stamps from Sweet Stuff again, this time the little bird and the “miss you” sentiment:

I colored it in with a blender pen and ink, then added a couple hearts from Pictogram Punches:

Confetti Celebration Times Three

DSCF3881

Happy Friday everyone!  So happy to see the weekend ahead!  I have three cards to show you; I was playing with some more Confetti Celebraton designer paper, and I decided just to use up the entire 4x12” sheet that I had cut!!  So here we go!  The first one is for the Pals Paper Arts sketch 209 this week:

PPA209 June 26

I already had this little tag assembled and sitting on my desk, so when I saw this sketch, I thought I could make it work.  It deviates a bit from the sketch, but I think it still works!

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Pictogram Punches Stampin Up

I used Bermuda Bay cardstock and Wild Wasabi, Bermuda Bay, Daffodil Delight, Crisp Cantaloupe and Strawberry Slush inks for my Pictogram Punches tag.  The Itty Bitty Accents punch pack really makes punching out these cute little flowers a breeze!  The sentiment is from And Many More.

The next card uses sketch 26 from Match the Sketch:

This card is a graduation card for a friend’s son; I used Basic Black for the accents and stamping, again using Pictogram Punches and the Itty Bitty Accents punch pack for the stars:

I also used a couple of sentiments from Something to Say for the inside:

DSCF3884

Finally, the sketch 142  from Freshly Made Sketches for a little girl’s birthday card:

And here we go:

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Sweet Stuff Birthday Stampin Up

I used a sentiment and image from Sweet Shop, colored my little ballerina with some reinkers and an aquapainter, then added a wee bit of glitter:

I know a little girl whose birthday is coming up in a couple of months, wink wink!  Thanks for visiting today!

More carnival fun!

DS156 & TKJ177

DSCF3846

Happy Thursday, peeps….we’re on the downhill slide of the week!  I wanted to play with the pretty colors at The Kraft Journal this week:

as well as Jen’s Deconstructed Sketch:

Deconstructed Sketch 156

But I am so bummed because my white circle looks just like that…a white circle.  In reality, it has a white embossed floral image on it that is very pretty!  But it’s impossible to see here, so you’ll just have to imagine it!  I needed a baby shower card, so this is it!

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Hello Darling Num Num Something to Say Stampin Up Baby Card

It’s always fun to mix and match sets; this uses the little lines of hearts from Chalk Lines for the So Saffron panel; the sweetie pie in Strawberry Slush is from Num Num; the moon, stars and heart are from Pictogram Punches; and the sentiment is from Something to Say:

DSCF3847

And here is a closer view of the embossed floral image from Hello Darling; you might be able to see it:

DSCF3845

and finally, on the inside, a little pocket for a gift card:

Thanks for popping by today!

Last night we took a little ferris wheel ride at our local carnival…..it was a beautiful evening and Cassidy had so much fun!

The view was amazing!
