AYSI369 Happy Birthday Sundae

Happy Friday, everyone! Hope you have some fun plans this weekend!  It's time for a new As You See It Challenge, and it's a lovely color challenge:

I love the Easter egg cookies in this basket, but I am pretty much done my Easter cards, so I chose another bunny to go with my pastel colors!  Here we go:

Since the Just Add Ink challenge this week is to add stripes, I stamped the bottom left corner with the Painted Stripes stamp in Soft Sea Foam, then added a little Soft Sea Foam strip, diecut with a Wonky Stitched Frame die from My Favorite Things.  Then I stamped my little ice-cream-sundae-eating bunny in Versafine ink and watercolored him in with Pretty in Pink and Pool Party inks:

The sentiment is from the new Notes of Spring stamp set, available only in March!  Love that font!  A little Waffleflower birthday sentiment went on the inside, with a little background stamping from Label Me Bold:

These colors are sweet for any spring occasion!  I hope you'll be inspired by them and come create with us at As You See It!  Thanks for popping in today!  Enjoy it and be blessed!

IB376 & SS380 Tea Time

Happy Tuesday, peeps! If you're on the east coast, did you get plowed out yet? Another load of snow for the winter of 2026!  At least this one didn't have single-digit temps!!!  The sketch from Sunday Stamps and the inspiration from Inspired By was my basis for today's card!

I had gotten a cute little tea-time stamp set recently from Colorado Craft, and this was the first time inking it up! I pulled out some softly-hued DSP and stamped my little tea-drinking mice directly on it:

I did some paper-piecing of the cups, using some scraps of DSP from various pads, then colored the images with Copics.  I did add a wee bit of "sugar" to the teaspoon!

The vertical strips were embossed with a cross-stitch die and I added some little pink flower sequins and a diecut sentiment; another CCC sentiment went on the inside:

I saw another card today from MarDi using these mice, and I must say, after seeing hers, I was almost ashamed to post this one. Her card is AMAZING!  You can see it here!  I PROMISE I did not copy her card, but we both must have thought these little mice fit that challenge perfectly, LOL!  All the samples from Inspired By were really amazing this week!  Thanks for popping in today!  Enjoy it and be blessed!

PP773 CAS Balloons

Happy Sunday, peeps! Time for a new Paper Players challenge with Stef as our hostess!  It's Clean-and-Simple time, and it's a fun one:

What's more fun than balloons and birthdays?!  We just have to make sure it's CLEAN and SIMPLE!  So here we go:

This little Anita Jeram bunny from Colorado Craft is one of the cutest images EVER!  And so easy to color!  Because I chose pink as my accent color, I'm going to say this bunny is a SHE!  She has three balloons; two I diecut separately (and you can see the little string hanging down---I forgot to cut it off!) and the one is part of the original stamp.  I did some loose watercoloring and after diecutting, I mounted it on a stenciled background and added the birthday sentiment.

And here's the inside:

This worked up in a flash!  Now, how will you put your birthday wishes and balloons together?  Share your creation with us at the Paper Players--can't wait to see it!  Just make sure it's CLEAN and SIMPLE--minimum layers and products!  Thanks for visiting today!  Enjoy it and be blessed!

AYSI366 Peppermint Wishes

Happy Friday, all!  It's time for a new As You See It challenge, and we have a theme:

Yummy!  Look at all those goodies! I got a sweet little peppermint candy die just after Christmas, so this challenge gave me the perfect opportunity to put it to use:

My candies are made with Basic White, Real Red, Strawberry Slush and Granny Apple Green.  The peppermint sentiment is from More Than Autumn, and the diecut sentiments are from the Words for the Season dies.  All went on a gingham background from Scrapbook.com, diecut with the Perennial Postage die.  I added a Stitched With Whimsy doodle around the edges as well as some Peppermint candy embellishments!

I added a Colorado Craft sentiment on the inside:

In the stamping world, it's never too early to start making Christmas cards!  And since the Krafty Chicks are asking for Christmas cards this week, I am entering it there as well!

What will inspire you from this fun challenge?! Hope to see your sweet confection over at the As You See It blog!  Enjoy your day and be blessed!

PP769 CAS Brrr!

Happy Sunday, peeps!  Time for a new Paper Players challenge, and this one is from our amazing hostess Joanne!  She has a clean-and-simple theme for us:

She wants "Signs of Winter"....but specifically NOT Christmas!  Well, winter certainly is rearing its head here--snow and COLD!!!  I pulled out some stamps featuring hats and mittens and went to work:

My stamps are from W+9, stamped in Azure Afternoon.  I got my color inspiration from Color Hues:

After stamping and diecutting my winter wear, I used the sketch from Sunday Stamps to arrange them:

My embossed panel used an embossing folder from Tim Holtz, and I stamped some snow around the mittens and hat and added a cute "Brrr" sentiment from Colorado Craft:

A little Crafter's Companion stamp went on the inside. I thought I would add a birthday or get well sentiment as well, when I need a card for that occasion!

I hope that you'll play along with our challenge this week!  Remember to keep it CLEAN AND SIMPLE!  I know we want to add lots of bells and whistles, but this week, keep it all about stamps, ink and paper!  Thanks for popping in today!  Enjoy it and be blessed!

PP743 Saying Hi

Happy Sunday, all! Elizabeth is our Paper Players hostess this week and her challenge is to make a ONE-layer card!  ONE layer means no additional layers, no diecuts, nothing! If you're using adhesive, then it's not one layer!  It sounds challenging, but all you need are stamps, ink and paper!

I recently got this large image from Colorado Craft and it was perfect for my one-layer card:

I stamped the image on Thick Basic White cardstock with Stazon ink, then colored the images loosely with ink and an aquapainter.  I just love this Soft Succulent front door with the kitty trying to get in:

And I wonder what this cute little pup is thinking!

I added a Unity sentiment because it seemed perfect!

I know a one-layer card seems challenging, but I think you can do it! There are lots of options for giving depth and dimension, so put on your thinking cap and hop on over to the Players to play along!  Thanks for visiting today; enjoy it and be blessed!

LRW812 Sundae Funday

Happy Thursday, peeps! I have a quick card today using some new goodies I just got, along with some favorite oldies as well! The Little Red Wagon challenge is to use embossing, and I just happened to have made this fun birthday card using an Anita Jeram bunny from Colorado Craft, and the Dotted Circles embossing folder:

My bunny was stamped in Versafine black ink and color with Blends, then cut out with the retired Scalloped Contours die.  I added some sequins and a sparkly ribbon, then added a wee little tag:

My Bubble Bath card front was embossed with the EF, offsetting it a bit for some added interest.  I stamped a simple birthday sentiment on the inside, and it's ready for my next go-round of birthday cards!  Thanks for popping in today!  Enjoy it and be blessed!

PP711 Grateful Hearts

Happy Sunday, everyone!  Time for a new Paper Players challenge, and the talented Joanne is our hostess with a seasonal color challenge for us:

Isn't that a lovely prompt?  One of the cards we made with the retirement ladies used a sweet little pumpkin image from Colorado Craft, so I decided to use that for my card, along with a couple of my favorite fall embossing folders!  Here we go:

I used the sketch from FMS:

My embossed panels of Crumb Cake and Pecan Pie were sponged with Pecan Pie ink and embellished with a Basic Beige ribbon.  The Basic Beige tag was embossed with a Fall Leaf Background embossing folder, then I added my Pumpkin Pie stamped and diecut image on top.  I added an orange glimmer bow and some orange sequins to jazz it up a bit:

I mounted everything on a Cajun Craze card base and stamped a sentiment from Thankful Forest Friends on the inside:

Orange is one of my favorite colors, so this challenge was right up my alley! I hope you'll play along with our fallish colors---and even if you don't choose a fall theme, I am sure you can come up with a creative alternative!  Share it with us at the Players and you may be our Headliner!

Thanks for visiting today!  Enjoy it and be blessed!

Another Christmas Tree Card

Happy Tuesday, peeps! I am sharing another Christmas card today! I've been playing with this tree stamp again and already had stamped it in red, and after seeing that the 52 Christmas Card Throwdown was looking for red, white and kraft, I decided to whip up another quick card!

So here we go:

I mounted my tree diecut on a piece of Real Red that I sponged with some craft white ink, then mounted it on a Real Red postage diecut.  I stamped a piece of Crumb Cake with the retired Buffalo Check background stamp and diecut it with the Radiating Stitches die. My final addition were a few red enamel dots!  Easy peasy!

Thanks for stopping by today! Enjoy it and be blessed!

PP685 Color Challenge From Claire

Happy Sunday, everyone!  Claire is our Paper Players hostess this week and it's a color challenge week!  If you know Claire, you know she likes bright bold colors!  Check it out:

These colors just sing of spring, but I went in a different direction:

I recently did some shopping and got this little tree and die on sale from Colorado Craft! It hadn't gotten any ink yet, so I thought I'd make a non-traditional Christmas card!  To be really artistic, I could have inked every line with a marker and stamped it all on one diecut, but I was lazy, so I cut out several trees and lined them up in my Stamparatus and inked them in all the challenge colors, then snipped them into layers and adhered them to one tree.  Not the most aesthetically-pleasing technique, but it was certainly easier!!!

I diecut a panel of Basic White with an Everyday Detail die, then ran it through a snowflake embossing folder and mounted it on a square Crushed Curry card with a wee little Bermuda Bay mat.  I added a few bright pink sequins for fun.  I used the circle diecut as a base for my sentiment on the inside:

The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp, and it was inked up in Granny Apple Green!  Since the Christmas Craft Creations Challenge this month is looking for non-traditional colors, I'm entering there as well!

The design team has done a fabulous job with these colors!  Be sure to hop over to the Paper Players blog to check out how they used Claire's palette!  Then come play along with us too!  We'll be waiting to see what you create!

My little ice cube orchid began blooming a couple weeks ago....it has almost all the colors in it from our challenge this week, LOL!  Thanks for popping in today!  Enjoy it and be blessed!

PP618 Lucky Birthday

Happy Sunday, peeps! Hope your weekend is going by nicely!  Joanne is our Paper Players hostess this week, and it's Clean and Simple week again!  Here's her fun theme:

I really don't have many "good luck" stamps, but I did find one, but you won't spot it right away on my CAS birthday card:

I stamped these cute Colorado Craft images on thick white cardstock and watercolored them in with ink and an aquapainter....at 4am, I might add, on a sleepless morning!  (Anyone else have any of those?)

The person to whom this is going loves green, so I gave the bunny an Emerald Envy balloon, and stamped the sentiments, inside and out in green as well.  And here's my "lucky" sentiment:

My friend will totally get this sentiment, too!  It's from a retired SU called Afterthoughts!

I hope you'll play along with our Clean and Simple challenge---remember to keep it CLEAN and SIMPLE, LOL!  Resist using all those layers and embellishments!  Check out what the DT created over at the Paper Players blog, then come play along!
