Baby Girl Card

Happy Friday, peeps!  Well, yesterday I told you I made a baby boy card when I should have made a baby girl card!  Ooops!  So today, I've got the right card for you!  Again, I'll share this at the Stamp, Ink Paper blog for their baby challenge, and this time, I used the Freshly Made Sketches sketch:
                 SIP Theme 45 800

I found this sweet bannered paper on which I thought a vintage baby coach would look lovely!  I stamped it in Strawberry Slush ink, then added a little scrap on the left, some Summer Starfruit ribbon and as an afterthought, because it looked a bit naked, part of a doily:

The baby coach is from a company called Cloud 9, and the sentiment is from a very old Inque Boutique set, stamped in Hello Honey.  I just love the faux stitching on the paper:

And isn't this a sweet image?

The whole shebang was mounted on a Sahara Sand card, cuz that's what I had laying on my desk!  Call me lazy!

Well, last week we were running around in shorts and this week, we needed to unpack our longjohns!!  Crazy spring!

Enjoy your day!

Baby Shoe Challenge

071708-color

Well, I should be cleaning my house right now and what am I doing but stampin'! I checked Kristina's challenge today -- isn't it the cutest? So I just could not resist doing it since I had just gotten the Shoe Boutique set from Cornish Heritage Farms and the baby shoe is the first one I inked up! So my take on the challenge is pretty literal:

I am thinking I will be one of many who uses this image! Anyway, the details are pretty simple: images are stamped in Going Gray and watercolored very carefully as the GG is not waterproof. Mounted on Nestability scallops & circles, popped up on dimensionals. I am very excited about the scallop punch that I just got from my SU order--it is very easy to use and looks great! The little stitched border at the top is even more exciting - it is from the Inque Boutique stamp set Stitch Fun. If you haven't seen these, check out their stuff at The Purple Turtle. They combine the best of rubber stamps with the positioning capability of clear stamps. JUST AWESOME, I want to play all day with them! Ribbon is just some double-sided satin from ACM. Thanks for looking, I'm off to clean!
