Hark The Herald Angels Sing

Hi peeps!  A little late today---I have a Christmas card for you using the Merry Monday challenge of a favorite Christmas verse as well as the CAS Christmas Card challenge, to use an ornament:

I pulled out an old Waltzingmouse stamp set, I am not even sure what it's called--maybe Stitched Christmas?--and stamped it on some patterned paper in Early Espresso, fussy-cut it out, then added a nativity die and a sentiment from Papertrey:

I popped up the nativity scene against the palm trees, then "hung" it on some Christmas Pines pine branches with some Tranquil Tide ribbon:

and stamped the pine branches again in the lower corner behind the sentiment:

I hope this is CAS enough!  I sure love these challenge themes!  Thanks for popping in today!

I forgot to post this before-the-bus "impromptu" stamping session...Cassidy made her teacher an Easter card:

and yes, there was snow on the ground...thankfully, it's all gone, but it's still way too cold for April!  Enjoy your day and be blessed!

Christmas Stamp Camp

Happy Wednesday, peeps!  I am going to be taking a wee little bloggy break, just a few days, but before I do, I thought I'd share with you a couple of cards from my recent Christmas Card stamp camp.  Of course, I had to use Carols of Christmas along with the coordinating Card Front Builder dies!  My stampers used Marina Mist, Soft Suede and Dazzling Diamonds glimmer paper to make this card:

I really like how the glimmer paper peeks through the little cut-outs...so sweet!  And a little tip if you are cutting out items from glimmer paper....it can be a little challenging to get those diecuts to pop out easily; if you gently peel off the back layer of the paper, you have a thinner layer of glimmer paper, which cuts very nicely!

When I saw this pattern in the Be Merry DSP package, my mind immediately went to this older Waltzingmouse stamp set; I think it's called Stitched Christmas (not sure of that)...it was stamped in Cherry Cobbler, accented with some gold pine sprigs and gold ribbon!

Stay cool...I'll see you on Sunday with our next Paper Players challenge!

Cassidy and Dana are at St Simon's Island in GA...they have sent me some amazing photos!  These are from Driftwood Beach....it's huge!

Thanks for popping by....be blessed and enjoy your week!

TSOT264 Happy Birthday

Hi everyone!  Tuesday is upon us...I am not sure where Monday went, but it sure passed by quickly...and it is time for a Try Stampin' On Tuesday sketch!  There is an optional theme of helping hands as well, but I opted for a birthday this week:

I've been digging into my stash of designer papers and found this cool turquoise, green and brown print, so I set to work finding some goodies to go with it! Here's my final outcome:

I started by finding a scrap of some old Basic Grey 6x6 paper in a cool lime green....don't even know the name of the pad....and it matched the scritchy-scratchy look of the patterned paper, so I used that for my top portion and even cut the letters "h" & "b" from them, layering them for a thicker look (dies from Papertrey):

I inked up the dotted circle from an older Waltzingmouse set called Country Labels (just found out WM is going out of business--WAAAAHHH!!  Love her stuff!) in Tempting Turquoise, and the dotted image from Timeless Textures in Lucky Limeade for the horizontal pieces; the vertical piece was a piece of Early Espresso stamped with the retired Sanded background stamp in white craft ink.  A little bit of deckle edging and three candy dots finished it off!  Another masculine b-day card for my stash!

I hope you'll play along with our sketch this week!  You can find all the samples as well as a link to share your creation at the TSOT blog, or lots of people are finding us on Facebook!  Either way, we hope you'll play!

Although Sunday was a bit chilly in our area for an Easter egg hunt, Cassidy and Dominic did manage to find one at a nearby park on Saturday, and set off to find some goodies:

I love Dominic's Minion bucket....there's a boy with great expectations!  Enjoy your day!

Vintage Santa

Happy Monday, everyone!  It's back to the regular routine, right?  I, for one, had such a relaxing holiday, it's going to take me more than one day to get back into the swing of things!  I am getting right back into the groove of making Christmas cards so I don't get caught short for 2016, and I am using the Pals Paper Arts sketch and the Christmas Card Challenge colors.

                               12-24 PPA 281

After looking at the photo of my card, I realize my "brown" panel has more than a touch of green in it!  But at least my ribbon and sentiment follow that neutral brown!  Here we go:

I don't think I got a chance to use this vintage Santa from C9 Stamps last year, so I inked him up in Cherry Cobbler and stamped the Linen background in Sahara Sand, then sponged the edges:

I used SU's new Timeless Textures to do some background stamping and then added a Waltzingmouse sentiment on my Authentique Two Christmases in One DSP.

My final touch was some Champagne glimmer paper punched branches, a Soft Suede ribbon and a few sequins!

I got Cassidy a potholder loom for Christmas!  She did really well with it (besides goofing around)!

It was fun to watch Dana teach her how to do it, as Dana remembers making these as well!  When I was little, I made loom potholders and sold them for 50 cents in my Pop Pop's florist shop.  The money I earned, I spent at the Wildwood, NJ, boardwalk, when my Nan would take us on vacation!  What treasured memories!  Enjoy your day!

FMS215 & MM182 - Again

DSCF3210

Yay, it’s Friday!  Time for the weekend!  I am trying to redeem myself with the girls at Merry Monday, so I’ve created another birdie card, much better than yesterday’s fiasco!  This uses a 3D sticker from K&Company; some recycled cardstock from a card I received last Christmas;  a couple of dies and a single sentiment from Waltzingmouse:

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Simple Cardinal Waltzingmouse Christmas

This is just a wee little card, about 3 1/8” x 4 1/4”, because that was the size of the stitched mat…I mounted it on a Crumb Cake card of the same size.  The Mossy Meadow pinked mat is from W+9, and it fit my sticker nicely:

Here's the inside too:

Both sentiments are stamped in Mossy Meadow and are from Waltzingmouse’s Compliments of the Season!  This is also for Christmas Cards All Year Round’s challenge of “Keeping it Simple”!

Now, on to my Freshly Made Sketches card, which is also a Christmas card!

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Simple Deer Christmas Sweet & Sassy

I found this scrapbook paper in my stash and I have absolutely no idea from whence it came!  I am not sure if I bought it or it was a gift…no manufacturer’s name on it either, but the little deer were already printed on it, so I just added the banner and the embossed piece, and it was done!  In order to make it fit the sketch, I had to make the card a little bigger…it’s 6 1/2” high!   The sentiments are from Sweet & Sassy, and the Old Olive embossing is from Tim Holtz….the twine is SU, as is the little pine bough, stamped in white craft ink:

Paper Players 273

DSCF3023

Happy Sunday, peeps!  It’s Sandy’s turn to host the Paper Players this week, and it’s a Tac-Tac-Toe challenge!  Here ya go:

I had a card made for Merry Monday’s challenge, (and also the Can You Case It sketch from last week) which is to use blue, white and texture on your card.  When I checked Sandy’s challenge, I found I had used several of the elements!  SO, here it is:

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Paper Players 273 Let it Snow Christmas Snowflake Waltzingmouse

I think I have almost all the squares except ribbon and tree!!  I used some papers from MME’s Vintage Christmas line; the snowflakes (Taylored Expressions) were cut from white cardstock, covered with Versamark ink, sprinkled and heat embossed with Heat & Stick powder, then covered with various glitters from my stash.  Here’s a closer look at them:

I added some sequins for fun, and both the outside and inside sentiments are from Waltzingmouse’s Compliments of the Season, stamped in Lost Lagoon:

How will play our tic-tac-toe challenge?  There are lots of fun possibilities, I am sure you can find one that will fit your need!  Share your creation with us at the Paper Players, where you can see all the designers’ creations as well!

MTS069

DSCF9455

Happy Saturday, peeps!  I found myself needing another sympathy card this week so I pulled out some beautiful Graphic 45 Botanical Tea papers I have been hoarding, along with the Match The Sketch sketch from this week:

to create my card:

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Bible Verse Sympathy Papillion Potpourri

I love how all the patterns on these papers coordinate.  I used my drop-arm cutter to cut the right-hand panel out and flipped it over to the other side, which was a vanilla with a very light mottled tone.  I stamped French Script on it very lightly in Pistachio Pudding, the over-stamped the leaves from Kinda Eclectic in the same ink.  My cutting blade is very dull, so the edges of my panel were sort of distressed, so I sponged them with Sahara Sand before fitting it back into the green panel.  I used a retired Cornish Heritage Farms Bible verse, stamped in Chocolate Chip ink on top:

DSCF9456

I added the large butterfly from Papillion Potpourri, stamped in Chocolate Chip and colored with Pistachio ink atop a couple of circular elements, then I pulled out a stamp I haven’t used in AGES,  Waltzingmouse’s Country Labels 4 and stamped my sentiment from Petite Pairs inside:

I love this layout as well as these papers, so hopefully I will be using them both again soon!

Baby Mike (yes, I know, he’s either naked or wearing a dress….don’t try to influence a 4YO, they do what they want to do) got some play time outside recently:
