AHSC658 Brightly Shining

Happy Tuesday, everyone!  The Atlantic Hearts Sketch this week is a lovely one, as usual:

I had some pretty papers from Thoughtful Journey sitting on my desk, and I thought they would make a pretty Christmas card, so here we go:

I wanted to use this sentiment from Night Divine, so I stamped it in some Pretty Peacock ink on a diecut panel and added some crinkly seam binding in a shabby-chic bow that just happened to match perfectly.  I embossed another panel with a star embossing folder and assembled it all together, along with some star sequins:

A sentiment from Peaceful Season went on the inside:

I just realized I didn't put any little doodads in the four corners, so I hope they'll not kick me out, LOL!  And I hope you'll play along with our sketch challenge this year at Atlantic Hearts! Can't wait to see your creations!

Joy & Peace

Happy Tuesday, all! I have a sweet little card today that uses the sketch from Sunday Stamps as well as the color theme from 52 Christmas Card Throwdown:

I still have lots of DSP from Classic Christmas, so I got out a sheet of starry Crumb Cake paper, some cardstock and went to work:

This is a fun sketch to work with if your papers coordinate on both sides!  I did some heat embossing for the sentiment at the top, and used a couple of dies from my stash for the little scene and pine trees:

You can't see it, but there's Wink of Stella on the pond, too!  A quick sentiment on the inside and I have another Christmas card for my stash!

Thanks for visiting today!  Enjoy it and be blessed!

Cardinal Trio

Happy Friday, everyone!  Phew, the weekend is here!  When I saw the sketch at AAA Cards, I knew I had to play with that little trio-inspired sketch:

I also used the colors from Hand Stamped Sentiments:

And here we go:

I used the Perennial Postage dies to cut out my "stamp", then created a stencil with an acetate sheet and sponged in some Balmy Blue ink.  The twigs are from the Winterly Tree Tops dies and the cardinals are from Poppystamps:

I did add some glitter to the twigs too!  The sentiment stamp is from Night Divine, stamped in Cherry Cobbler; the inside sentiment is from Hope & Peace:

Thanks so much for popping in today! Enjoy it and be blessed!

52CCT24-33 Joy & Peace

Happy Tuesday, everyone!  Hope your week is going well so far!  I finally made another card using the pretty Graceful Greenery vellum; this one uses the sketch from 52 Christmas Card Throwdown:

So here we go:

I layered the white vellum on a piece of Old Olive cardstock that I had cut on a curve at the bottom (even though you can't see it here!).  I added a few diecut vellum pine branches around the bottom and used a sentiment from the retired Night Divine, diecut with the Countryside Corners dies.  When I photographed the card the first time, I realized I could see the glue dots that I used to adhere it at the top...grrrr....so I covered them up with some Glitter Sequins. Then I thought they would like nice on the greenery as well, so I added a few more...they remind me of pieces of ice!

Thanks for popping in today!  Enjoy it and be blessed!

AHSC583 Joy & Peace

Happy Monday, everyone! Time for a new Atlantic Hearts sketch!  Here we go:

What a lovely sketch! On Saturday, two demos in my downline gathered together for a SU event where we got to play with the new Winterly Tree Tops bundle!  It's not available yet, except to demonstrators! Before we met, I decided to play with it myself and I used these pretty swags to make a Christmas card:

I stamped them in Old Olive and used a blender pen and Old Olive and Mossy Meadow inks to fill in the greenery, and Real Red for the berries.  I used a sentiment from the retired Night Divine on a Very Vanilla Oval, and matted it with a Real Red scalloped oval. The background paper is from Traditions of St Nick DSP:

I mounted everything on a Basic Beige card, added a little satin ribbon and stamped this sentiment from the retired Peaceful Pines on the inside:

This is going to be a fun bundle to play with!  Thanks for visiting today--enjoy it and be blessed!

AYSI550 Joy & Peace

Happy Tuesday, peeps! My  card today uses a very similar sketch to the one I did yesterday; this one is from Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge:

Since I already had my One Horse Open Sleigh DSP on my desk, I looked through the images and decided to use this little snow-covered  cabin scene as my focal point.  Here we go:

I fussy-cut some of the trees from the same page and tucked them behind my circle, then added strips from the same paper for the horizontal pieces.

I fussy-cut a sentiment from Night Divine, mounted it on another piece of woodgrain DSP and mounted everything on a panel that was embossed with the Snowflake Sky embossing folder.  I added some Wink of Stella to the snow, it's too bad you can't see it here!  Thanks so much for visiting today!

Enjoy your day and be blessed!

Naturals Joy & Peace

Happy Friday, peeps! Happy weekend!  The Inspired By inspiration photo was really pretty this week and I thought I would pair it with the Just Add Ink sketch!  Here they are:

I put together lots of elements to make a Christmas card!  Take a peek:

My Thick Basic White card base was embossed with the Tin Type embossing folder to begin!  For my Very Vanilla panel, I diecut some strips with The Greetery's Shiplap Builder dies and layered them on a Crumb Cake panel.  The deer and heart were diecut from One Horse Open Sleigh DSP and the sentiment is from Night Divine, embossed in white.  I added some Soft Seafoam diecut greenery behind the deer:

as well as the heart.  I diecut a smaller heart from the same DSP and added two little holes to make a button, then added a faceted gem and some sequins.

I love this inspiration photo and am pretty happy with the card too!

I almost forgot to share one more birthday card from "across the pond", from my sweet Paper Players teammate, Joanne!

Getting happy mail makes turning a year older a lot easier to bear!  Thanks, Joanne!  And thanks for popping in today..enjoy it and be blessed!

FMS599 Peaceful Fox

Happy Friday, peeps! Yay, it's the end of the week!  I have been playing with the Online Exclusive One Horse Open Sleigh papers....there are some gorgeous ones in there....and this little fox seemed to be perfect for the FMS sketch this week, designed by the queen of CAS, Jen Mitchell!  Here's the sketch:

And here's my take on it:

The picture really doesn't do this DSP justice!  I cut a strip from the fox-in-the-snow paper to make my vertical piece, rounding the edges with a rounder punch.  The other layers are also from One Horse Sleigh.

The "peace" is from the upcoming set called Night Divine (a GORGEOUS set!); the sentiment actually says "joy & peace", but after lining the stamp up on my Stamparatus, I used a Blender pen and some Pecan Pie ink to ink up just the word "peace".  I did that a couple of times and it worked perfectly!

Another sentiment from the same set was stamped on the inside of the Crumb Cake card:

The only embellishment was a little bow tied with Linen Thread!  I love the earthy feel to this card!

Out for some ice cream, celebrating Cassidy's b-day!

Thanks for visiting today--enjoy it and be blessed!
