IB58 Hugs & Kisses

Happy Thursday, everyone!  It's time for another Inspired By challenge, and Laurel just keeps finding the prettiest prompts for us!  But first, here's my card, a plethora of vintagey, pink- and rose-colored hearts:

And here is Laurel's prompt:

These gorgeous papers from My Mind's Eye seemed to fit the challenge; they do most of the work all by themselves!  I cut little stitched banners from some of the patterns and aligned them along the left edge, then tied some assorted twines on top:

I added another little banner and stamped my sentiment in Merry Merlot, then added some sequins and a silver foil heart that I colored with a Light Real Red Blend:

Another sweet Valentine to add to my stash...it's a week away, are you ready?  If not, let our challenge get your creative juices flowing, and share your creations with us at the Inspired By blog!  Can't wait to see them!

Our weather went from single digits to the sixties in a week!  Cassidy took advantage of the weather to play outside a bit:

It is still winter, though....we'll pay for this nice day with some chilly weather this weekend! Enjoy your day and be blessed!

RR103

Happy Tuesday, peeps!  Hope you're staying warm wherever you are today!  It's supposed to be a cold, cold week here in PA!!!  But the Retro Rubber Challenge will warm you up with its sweet theme:

Image may contain: text

I used one of my favorite Valentine stamps, Sealed With Love (2017), along with Swirly Bird (2016), to make my fun little ribbon-embellished love note card:

Crumb Cake, Real Red, Lovely Lipstick and Whisper White were my color choices; I used the Rectangle Stitched framelits to create my layers, adding a wreath from Crumb Cake and a little love note and envelope using the Love Note framelits:

I added a few speckles from Gorgeous Grunge (2013), and Real Red ribbons adorn the Crumb Cake wreath as well as the little envelope; the note pops up out of the envelope to show a wee little sentiment, and then I stamped a Valentine sentiment on the inside:

Gee, I wonder to whom this card will go?!! 💕 I hope you'll play along with our Retro Rubber challenge..just be sure your stamps are at least a year old!  Can't wait to see what you share with us at the Retro Rubber Challenge blog!

Enjoy your day and be blessed!

SIP88 Kiss it Goodbye

Happy Tuesday, peeps!  It's time for another Stamp Ink Paper challenge!  It's a fun one this week....anything but a card!  Can't wait to see what the other team members have created, too!

Image may contain: text
I had actually been working on this even before I saw the challenge!  I had one clear Stampin' Up! checkbook cover left from many, many years ago, and had wanted to create a new one for my checks. So here we go:

I saw this color combo at Sunday Stamps.....soooooo pretty!

I have a few scraps of DSP left from the Stella & Rose: Mabel line from My Mind's Eye....I just pulled out some pieces and went to work!  My friend Maryanne used to have checks with a set of lips on them and the saying "Kiss it Goodbye", so I thought that would be a fun sentiment to put on it.  Unfortunately, in my messy craft room, the "n" has disappeared from my Labeler Alphabet set; luckily I didn't need it for this one, but I am sure I'll want it in the future!  Maybe it will turn up...I've looked everywhere!  Grrrr!  The letters are stamped in Lost Lagoon and backed with matching cardstock.

And the lips from Sealed with Love were perfect, stamped in Tangerine Tango and mounted on a stitched circle and scalloped mat:

I also used a new-to-me stitched scalloped border from Pretty Pink Posh (LOVE it) and stamped some Distressed Dots on my Lost Lagoon mat!  Now when I have to write a check, at least I will get a little chuckle!  I hope you'll play along with us--get your creative juices flowing and show us what you've got!

Wayne tried to show Cassidy how to skip a stone!

Be blessed and enjoy your day!

Valentine Projects

Happy Wednesday, peeps!  Prior to my customer appreciation party, I was stamping like mad to create a few samples for the upcoming Valentine holiday!  Here are a few I made:

I really appreciate the generosity of other demonstrators and crafters who so freely share their ideas!!! This sweet little box, created with the Gift Box Punch board, features Sending Love DSP and a sentiment from Suite Sentiments.  I found the sample from Beth McCullough HERE!

This wee little box uses a 6x6" sheet of DSP, and it uses a sentiment from Friendly Wishes, stamped in Sweet Sugarplum.  Sam Donald, who is the QUEEN of the Envelope Punch Board, has a quick tutorial HERE:

Dana gave me a little tin that had some Key Lime mints in it....it's tiny, only about 1 1/2 x 2 3/4".....but just the right size to decorate with some Sending Love DSP, a silver glimmer heart and silver foil arrow, and a couple of rhinestones along with a little sentiment from Sealed with Love:

And finally, this little triangle treat box features some SAB Carried Away DSP and another sentiment from Suite Sentiments....have I mentioned how much I love this set, too?!  You can find the directions for this box from Jane Carroll HERE:

There is still lots of time to make some of these Valentine treat boxes....so get cracking!  And thanks for visiting today!

Remember Pez?  And how challenging it was to get all the candy in before the spring sprung?   It's still around!

Enjoy your day and be blessed!

Stamp Ink Paper 83 A True Friend

Hi peeps!  Tuesday and a new Stamp Ink Paper challenge---a great sketch!  I love a great sketch!

Image may contain: text

I am smitten with the Sealed with Love set, and I think it is suitable for cards other than Valentine's!
I needed a thank you card, so I paired it with Endless Thanks for a sweet little confection:

I used Festive Birthday for my DSP choices, and you can see how I incorporated a couple of the thank you sentiments on my little notecard:

I tied up my little envelope with some white twine and added a few embellishments and sequins!  And finally, my inside sentiment is from Friendly Wishes:

I love these happy colors!  Be sure to check out what the other SIP designers did and share your creations with us too!

And speaking of happy, Cassidy got some happy mail a few days ago....a couple sets of wee little wooden stamps and a Hello Kitty stamp as well from a sweet blog reader:

I am sure these will be put to good use sometime soon!  Have a blessed day!

Hostess Appreciation Party Goodies

Happy Monday, peeps!  Hope you had a good weekend.....we had another down (John) with a stomach bug and I still sound like a croaking toad, but I feel better, well enough to have my Hostess Appreciation event!  We were missing a couple due to illness, but we still had fun with six stampers in attendance!  I thought I would share the projects we made after our lunch; sorry I have no photos of my girls or the food.....camera forgotten!!!  Anyway, I HAD to make something with Hey, Chick....I encouraged them to do some watercoloring on this card:

A little detail of this cutie:

Then we made a candy favor (at first glance, it looks like a ketchup bottle!) using Jars of Love, Sealed with Love and Sending Love DSP along with SU's 2x8" cello bags:

I notice my topper got bent on the way home!  Oh well!  This was a fun project, especially filled with "kisses"!!  Last, we made a Valentine's card--I probably got this from Pinterest, but I didn't save it, so I don't know to whom to give the credit, sorry!  We did ours in Pool Party and Calypso Coral so we could use A Little Foxy DSP for the envelopes!

One of the things we always do is a hand-stamped gift exchange.  We played a game and passed around the gifts, and this is the one I got....my gift-giver was Audrey, the granddaughter of my friend Billie (and daughter of Billie's daughter, Jill....who are all wonderful stampers), and Audrey is only ten!  I love the topper she created....

Check out this cool 3D sticker she used:

And I am pretty sure I know someone who will LOVE those lollipops!  The gift I created seems rather tame after Audrey's!  It's a little note pad covered with Fruit Stand DSP with a matching pen:

It used the new set Day at the Beach along with Labeler Alphabet!  If you would like info about any of the projects, email me!!!  No pix of Cassidy today, she was away for the weekend, so check back tomorrow!!   Have a blessed day!

JUGS376 Sealed with a Kiss

Happy Saturday everyone!  Sitting around waiting for a little snowfall, listening to oldies, relaxing and drinking coffee!  Yum!  I had this card created a couple days ago while making samples for my upcoming customer appreciation day and when I saw the JUGS challenge, I knew it would be perfect!  Here's the prompt:

I think Sweet Sugarplum is a delightful color but I just haven't used it enough, so I remedied that by stamping some of the images from Sealed with Love all over my card to make a monochromatic creation:

I love these new doilies, too....white on one side, vanilla on the other...so versatile!  I used a squared Stitched Shape framelit for my sentiment and added some DSP from Blooms and Bliss.  Really pretty simple and it gave me a chance to use some of the smaller images in the set, which seem to get forgotten!

Hmmm....I wonder which loved one will receive this Valentine?!!!

A few more pix from Christmas cooking-making.....my helper made sure all the chocolate chip cookies were packaged in a neat and orderly fashion!  Too bad her room isn't the same way, LOL!

Enjoy your day!
