SSC230 I Miss Your Face

Happy Monday, peeps!  Hope you all had a good weekend.  I have a quick card to share today for the Sunday Stamps sketch challenge:

I have seen lots of cute cards featuring the piggy stamp from SU wearing a mask, and after seeing Anne Marie's cute card from yesterday's Paper Players, I thought I could do the same thing for the cow from Over the Moon!  So here we go:

My mask is just from a little piece of paper towel, folded and adhered with glue dots.  I did thread some white floss behiind her ears to make it a bit more realistic!  And of course, a sentiment from the Share Sunshine PDF was a perfect addition!  I have been pushing these papers around on my desk for a few days, so I thought they would make a cheerful background

This is being popped into the mail today; can you guess whose little face I miss so much?  And here she is, our little tomboy, playing with some of her daddy's trucks over the weekend:

Enjoy your day and be blessed!

PP489 Make Us Smile

Happy Sunday, peeps!  Hope your weekend is going well!  Joanne is our hostess this week at the Paper Players with a much-needed theme challenge!  Make a card that will make someone smile!  We all need that, right?!

Of course, the Share Sunshine PDF came at the perfect opportunity, because look at this cute sentiment:

I mean, what is with the TP hoarding?  Our local grocery store still doesn't have any!  Good thing I am a "stock up" kind of shopper, I had a few on hand when this all started!  I printed my download on computer paper as my little Canon printer refuses to print on cardstock, but it worked fine....my shading with the Blends went a little wonky, but it is TP, after all! I used the TGIF Challenge colors for this week:

I diecut a Stitched Rectangle of each of the challenge colors from a gingham panel, adhered them on a card front, then embellished my sentiment with some of the felt cuties from Follow Your Art Embellishment Kit:

I added another Sunshine sentiment on the inside and added some strips of cardstock to keep with the challenge colors:

What will you put on your card to make someone smile?  I have to admit, my cards are not often "funny" ones, I go more for thoughtful or sentimental, so this is out of my comfort zone a bit!  My mom ALWAYS sent funny cards, and I miss them, so I guess maybe I should go out of that zone a little more!  Share yours with us at The Paper Players, and be sure to check out what the design team did as well...there are some cute ones!  Thanks for popping by!

My brother gave me a few more bulbs from Longwood and I quickly stuck them in the ground, where they bloomed the next day!  I didn't even have a chance to mulch them or anything!  They are tiny narcissus:

But they are so pretty as I come up the drive from my daily walk!  And speaking of Longwood, their blog has an interesting article on what the Facilities team (of which my brother is a part) is doing while they are closed.  It's not full of technical stuff, and it's actually pretty informative!  You can see it HERE.  Enjoy your day and be blessed!

GDP238 Share Sunshine

Happy Friday, everyone!  I have an uber-quick card for you today, and it uses a wee little digital image from the Share Sunshine download that SU is offering.  You can find out more about it HERE.  There are lots of images and sentiments--15 pages worth----and they are scaled to be used with dies and punches, and as they are copywrited, are not to be altered or shared.  I just printed mine out on regular computer paper for my first go-round, and I was happy with them!  I'll do them again on cardstock as I need them!

Anyway, the Global Design Project had a nice easy sketch this week:

I cheated a wee bit with the ombre part, because I found some papers that perfectly matched my little sentiment.....here we go:

I stamped the flower from the retiring Painted Harvest set in Strawberry Slush and Primrose Petals, with the center stamped in So Saffron. I diecut it and adhered it to a Strawberry Slush scalloped circle, then cut it in half and separated it a bit to fit behind the sentiment banner. The So Saffron banner was made by just using the ends of a die from Stitched Labels, and on that I adhered the #ShareSunshine:

I added a few sequins and it was done!  I also adhered a sentiment from the same digital set to the inside.  I have a few more ideas for this cool little set as well!  Thanks for popping in today!  Enjoy your day and be blessed!
