Happy Thursday, peeps! Another thank you card….almost through my list…this one incorporates the Kraft Journal’s Back to School challenge; the By The Numbers challenge at Retro Rubber:
and the Freshly Made Sketches sketch:

I have to give a nod to my stampin’ pal Linda Callahan, as she inspired me by her card here!! I took a little different tack with my back-to-school theme!
I used some diecut letters and numbers that I received long, long ago from another Linda, and using dsp from Schoolhouse, I stamped the sentiment from Something to Say in Smoky Slate ink. I also used a ruler embossing folder that I am embarrassed to say, have maybe used once, but it seemed appropriate for the “numbers” challenge! Finally, some denim ribbon and three gold stars finished it off!
And it is in the mail!
John is tired of losing electricity out here in the country, and finally bought a generator, so there has been lots of digging and dismantling as he wires it up to the house. Of course, Cassidy wants to “help”! Here, she is stacking up the bricks as John takes them out of the patio:
We all thought the final effect looked like a zipper!
More later…..today, we’re off to the Herr’s Potato Chip Factor Tour! Enjoy your day!

CCMC362 and CTS130
Happy 4th of July everyone! Wishing all my American friends an awesome day! A lot of birthdays popped up in my reminder calendar, so I thought I’d better get to work! I never seem to have enough masculine cards, so I thought the color challenge from Create with Connie & Mary was a good one, and appropriate for today:
and I incorporated it with the sketch from CAS(e) This Sketch:

I used the image from Amazing Birthday, stamping it in Lost Lagoon and Real Red and did some old-fashioned “cut and paste”!!
Stars were from Something to Say, and the birthday sentiment is from Sprinkles of Life. I cut the banner with the Banner Triple punch, adding a Lost Lagoon mat.
I used the Delicate Designs die and EF (retired) to create the edge on the white panel, and embossed my Crumb Cake card base with the Large Polka Dot EF. I love the dots AND the colors!!! Thanks for visiting today!
Cassidy went to a wedding a wee bit back, and had fun dancing with her little girlfriend! Their dresses even matched a bit!
Enjoy your day! Be sure to come back tomorrow for a new Paper Players challenge, too!

Mojo Monday 401 Grad Card
Happy Friday peeps! Hope you have a great weekend planned! I needed to make a few more graduation cards so for one of them, I used the Mojo Monday sketch for this week:

I was wracking my brain, trying to come up with a different set to use that would encourage and congratulate a new graduate, and I remember the Papertrey set, Star Prints. I pulled out some star-studded DSP from MME called Fly a Kite, then stamped my images in some matching colors and mounted it on a Pear Pizzazz card base:
I did emboss the smaller panel with the Star EF from SU; added some baker’s twine atop my little zigzag panel, and added a red rhinestone to the center of the star:
And here’s the inside with sentiments from Class of 2015, Something to Say and again, PTI’s Star Prints:
It was fun to mix and match sets! Thanks for visiting today!
Well, it’s not officially summer here in PA, but you couldn’t tell from the thermometer yesterday…hot & sticky! I got out the Slip & Slide, extended it a wee bit with another piece of plastic, and Cassidy and her cousins had a blast:
5 YO Trent went at it full blast!
Cassidy was a bit more lady-like!
3 YO Jack never let up…he was like a sliding machine!
And after a few slippery attempts, 2YO Chaz just decided to throw water on everyone!
Enjoy your day!

Fusion and CCMC358
Howdy peeps! A whirlwind week and weekend here in PA, so this will be short & sweet! I have a graduation party to attend, and I even though I thought the Fusion inspiration photo was AWESOME, I only used the sketch:

Sentiment is from Something to Say; balloons are from last month’s Paper Pumpkin; stars were stencilled on with So Saffron ink. Although it’s tough to see, the popped up stars are Gold Foil, Hello Honey and Gold Glimmer:
and I stamped the Class of 2015 stamp on the inside with the sentiment from the Paper Pumpkin kit too:
Enjoy your day!

AYSI070 and PPA 240 Baby Shower Cards
Happy Saturday, peeps! Thanks for the well-wishes, I felt better enough to do some stamping for my niece’s baby shower we’re attending today! Her invites were gray and yellow, and she’s having a boy, so I chose those colors plus a wee bit of blue for my card:
I am usually stamp things in “threes”, but the As You See It sketch this week had four panels:

I stamped the little critters from Every Little Bit (retired SU) in Stazon black and colored them in with reinkers and an aquapainter. I punched them out with a 1” square punch, then mounted them on So Saffron squares that were diecut with a Nestability die. My top panel is from the Moonlight DSP stack. I added some washi tape, an embossed button and some twine in Soft Sky:
I also embossed the lower portion with the cross stitch embossing folder from the retired Needlepoint set, and I couldn’t resist adding another button on the inside, along with the sentiments from Something to Say, stamped in Smoky Slate:
Since my sister is here to attend the shower as well, I stamped another card for her, a little different feel to this one; it uses the Pals Paper Arts sketch from this week:
and here’s the sketch:
This uses the SAB DSP Best Year Ever; retired sets Nursery Necessities and Itty Bitty Bitties and Teeny Tiny Wishes. Ink colors used were Hello Honey, Calypso Coral and Soft Suede. Thanks for visiting today!
Cassidy got some little Sofia post-it notes, so decided she was going use them to make “invitations” to a party! Here is she, writing her guests’ names:
And consulting Grampy on how to spell his name!!! I guess he’s a guest too!
