PP392 Tea Party

Hey peeps! Happy Sunday to you all!  Nance is our Paper Players hostess today and she has come up with a sweet theme:

I don't have a lot of tea cup or teapot images, sadly, but I did have this little Tiny Teacup stamp saved from several years ago...I have been digging into my older stash of stamps a lot lately!  So I inked it up and here's what I came up with:

I used the color challenge from CAS Colours and Sketches:

as well as the sketch from the Inspire.Create challenge:

I began by stamping a panel of Soft Sky with the Paisley background stamp in Soft Sky ink and sponging the edges lightly with Sahara Sand ink.  I stamped three teacups in Berry Burst and fussy-cut them out, then mounted them on Whisper White circles that had been embossed with the Perfect Polka Dot EF.  They all went on a Sahara Sand panel that was diecut and also embossed with polka dots:

I added some twine from my stash and a couple of sentiments from Papertrey, stamped in Early Espresso, then stamped this oldie on the inside:

It's from a retired SU set called Friend to Friend!  Isn't it sweet?!  I hope you'll play along with our tea party theme...there are so many possibilities for inspiration, we hope to see your pretty creation among those in the gallery!  And here are the DT links for you to check out as well:

Happy Wednesday, everyone!  A quick little card today, unfortunately a sympathy card, using The Shabby Tea Room inspiration photo and a sketch from RetroSketches:

Isn’t that a cozy inspiration photo?  Love it!  And here we go:

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Stampin Up Sympathy

My card base is 4 1/4”, Sahara Sand, with some MME Lost & Found Sunshine papers on which I did some stitching, then stamped some swirls, polka dots and butterflies.  My Tiny Teacup (ret SU) was also stamped in Sahara Sand ink and, channeling my inner Ann, embellished with lots of pearls!

The sentiment was stamped in Soft Suede and is from Blessings from Heaven.  Thanks for popping in today!

FMS79 & RS56

DSCF3576

Happy Thursday, everyone!  I had a card order recently and since my friend is not a stamper, I don’t necessarily have to make my cards multi-layered or embellished!  She mails them, so they need to be fairly flat and simple.  This week’s Freshly Made Sketches sketch by Rita was a perfect way to use some pretty MME papers from the Nostalgia line.

These colors are just so soft and calming, perfect for a get-well card:

Since I was already cutting the papers, I went ahead and made two cards, just changing the diecut trim a bit.  For my focal image, I used a clear block and applied it directly to my Baja Breeze ink pad, then “stamped” it on my panel for a dreamy background!  I love how it looks different on each image; I think the cardstock must have a grain to it, because you can see how the color seems to go horizontal on one image and vertical on the other:

The image from from Countryside, and it is stamped in Basic Gray ink.

The next one uses the Retrosketches sketch this week:

Same papers, still soft colors, but a more feminine look:

This uses the retired Tiny Teacup, stamped in Primrose Petals, embellished with a paper button and little twill banner.  Thanks for visiting—any questions, shoot me an email!

We had fun yesterday at the Easter party, but I forgot my camera—of course!  My friend let me borrow hers, but her camera card is smaller than mine and I can’t figure out how to download the photos…bummer!  Any help out there?  Anyway, we dyed some eggs today too:

Quite an experience….and of course, we had to eat the ones that were so cracked that they couldn’t be embellished!!! LOL!

Paper Players 96 and FMS 35

 DSCF0817

Happy Sunday, everyone!  It’s been beautiful here in PA this weekend, so I didn’t do much stamping!  But it is time for the Paper Players challenge, with Anne Marie as our hostess!  Once again, I “missed” the CAS portion of this polka dot challenge, but hopefully Anne Marie will be lenient with me!

I LOVE polka dots, and Lesley’s Freshly Made Sketches sketch with the three panels this week was perfect for my idea:

And here we go:

PP96-LeAnne

I used DP in Baja Breeze, Pacific Point and Marina Mist,  and stamped my little teacup in Marina Mist as well. I have used this idea of hearts floating above the teacup before, but it is so cute, I had to do it again!  And the cute little banner from Itty Bitty Banners will be available June 1!

I hope you’ll play along with us this week….everybody likes polka dots, don’t they!?  Be sure to hop over to the Paper Players blog so you can share you creation and see what the others have created as well!

Yesterday was a busy day, nice outside, so I didn’t get much time to stamp!  I did make a quick card using this week’s  Freshly Made Sketches sketch by Rita.  Isn’t it pretty?
I wanted to send a card to a woman in our church who quietly serves our Alzheimer’s Support group, which my friend facilitates, by making cookies every month for them.  My friend wanted to make sure that each month she had homemade goodies to serve to her group, and I used to get volunteers each month.  Then, one month, a woman stepped up and said she would do it again for a second time…..and a third, and then she said she would just continue to do it.  She is very shy and quiet, but this is her way of serving God and our community, and it took a burden off me as well!  So this card is a little thank you for her:

It’s a pretty literal interpretation of the sketch because I can’t seem to come up with anything really clever and spectacular lately; it uses Domestic Goddess DP and the Tiny Teacup (soon-to-be-retiring) stamp.  I did some stitching on the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border that had been punched from Calypso Coral, and added a couple little punched-out flowers in the corners.  Now……how about some spaghetti?

ColourQ 124

DSCF6054

Happy Valentine’s Day!  Arielle has a sweet color combo for the ColourQ inspiration today:

cqc124

What a pretty “bouquet” of hearts and flowers!  This is my translation:

DSCF6051

A little white doily was brayered with Pretty in Pink ink; the Tiny Teacup was stamped in Cool Caribbean and mounted on Cool Caribbean and Real Red Nesties.  Some red & white baker’s twine forms the “steam” for the sweet little hearts.  And hearts don’t necessarily have to be a Valentine’s card, so I used a “thinking of you” sentiment instead.

I hope you’ll play along with these lovely colors; run on over to the ColourQ to see what the other stampers have designed, and share your creation as well!  Can’t wait to see them!

Doesn’t this cute little shirt make you want to stamp some purple pears?!
