FMS343 Vintage Snowmen

Happy Wednesday, everyone!  I have a quick little Christmas card today; I let the paper do most of the work on this one!  It uses the FMS sketch from Jen T:

and some fun coordinating vintage-style papers that came from.....I don't remember!  I think I bought this as a kit on Etsy!  Sorry!  Anyway, here we go:

My card base is Soft Sea Foam and I used a Papertrey die for the "Holiday", cut in Real Red. The words are stamped in Tranquil Tide, and I added a little baker's twine bow and some sequins from my stash!

I just love how that snowman is waving, right by the "hello"!  A happy coincidence!  The inside uses a little scrap of the printed paper and a sentiment from SU's retired Warmth and Wonder:

I am also entering this in The Merry Christmas challenge of Anything Goes!  Thanks for popping in today!  Enjoy your day and be blessed!

Some pool time fun from last week....although it's going to rain today, no pool for us today!!!:

Christmas for the Birds

Happy Friday, peeps!  So happy to see the weekend arrive!  I have a Christmas card today for three challenges!  I loved the CAS Colours and Sketches sketch so much, I used it again, and the Merry Christmas Challenge was Anything Goes with the option of Banners, and Stamp Ink Paper's challenge was to Color It!

I got a sweet little Christmas set at the end of last year from Faith Illustrated and I thought these little birds would be fun and simple to color with my SU Blends:

I stamped them in Memento Black and used Light and Dark Pool Party, Light Bermuda Bay and Light Calypso Coral as my shades; some retired Crisp Cantaloupe DSP matched pretty well and is a fresh and fun color complement when paired with Pool Party:

My banner sentiment is from another set from Kaiser, fussy cut and mounted with dimensionals, and the inside sentiment is from SU's Better Together:

I have family staying for a few days, and my light box for my photos has been disassembled, so I am trying some "flat" photography; it's not too bad but not as nice as some that I have seen!  I need to do some practicing and find a spot with good lighting! Thanks for popping in today!

I made some peanut butter spritz cookies for my guests and I asked Cassidy to put them in a tin, knowing she likes to line things up neatly!!  I could tell by the look on her face she snuck one:

Yup!

It was a perfect reward for a job well done!

Enjoy your day and be blessed!

GDP065 and MCC10 Cabin in the Woods

Happy Wednesday, peeps!  Halfway through the week!  I was excited to see the color challenge at Global Design Project:

Of course, when I made my card, I used CHERRY COBBLER instead of Real Red....sigh.  I think I have Christmas overload brain!  But I like my card anyway, so I am entering it and that will be that!

I have SO many Christmas stamps, sometimes I actually forget which ones I have!  This is one of them.....it's sort of a seasonal stamp that could be used for Christmas; it's from Inkadinkado, and I stamped it on Crumb Cake in Early Espresso and added some white watercolor pencil as well as white Craft ink in the snowy areas:

The background was stamped with a Stampendous Christmas background stamp in Tip Top Taupe, and I also stamped some pinecone images from an Artistic Outpost stamp set in Crumb Cake, then sponged the edges of everything!  I added some glitter to the snowy areas too:

For my glittery sprig, I diecut some Early Espresso cardstock with a Tim Holtz Greenery die, coated it with Versamark and Heat and Stick powder, heated it up,  then coated it with some Martha Stewart glitter:

Finally, I stamped a sentiment from Sweet & Sassy (Holiday Greetings) in the bottom corner!

I am also entering this in the Merry Christmas Challenge, which is to make a snowy scene!  Thanks for popping in today!

Dana has been doing some part-time waitressing, and one of her customers gave her some money for Cassidy to spend, so she did some shopping at a craft show last weekend.  Of course, a cookie was high on the list, and it is a cute cookie, as far as cookies go:

Having no front teeth does not stop her from eating around it until she got to the most important part:

Yum!

Enjoy your day & be blessed!
