Blessings to You At Easter

Happy Tuesday, all!  I am looking forward to some sunshine today--still cold, but better than rain & dampness!  My quick little card today is for the Inspired By challenge as well as the CAS Colours & Sketches sketch:

I am still finding ways to use some of the pretty papers I got recently from Craft Consortium!  I chose a leafy pattern for the top portion of the sketch, using a circle die to cut out the right portion.  I then diecut a little egg from a solid piece, stamped some little polka dots on it, then added a wee little bunny:

I stamped a sentiment on a Crumb Cake banner in Mossy Meadow ink:

And the inside:

Both sentiments are from Divinity Designs!  Thanks for popping in today!  Enjoy it and be blessed!

FMS696 Vintage Ads

Happy Thursday, peeps! I found these vintage ads in some of my papers; I've had them for a long time and I can't even remember who makes them, so when I saw the FMS sketch this week, I thought I could put a dent in my stash!  Here's the sketch:

My proportions may be a bit off but hopefully you can still see the sketch! I don't need a baby card, but that's what came to mind when I began creating:

I trimmed down my ads to fit the front and added a Blushing Bride panel behind them (which seemed to match better on my desk than in this picture!), cutting it with an Everyday Details die, then stamping it with a little polka dot design in white craft ink.  I added a little "congratulations" banner in the center:

And a little sentiment on the inside:

I was happy to put these fun little ads to use!  It really didn't make a dent in my stash though, LOL!  Thanks for visiting today!  Enjoy it and be blessed!

PP728 Color Challenge from Jaydee

Happy Sunday, peeps! It's time for a new Paper Players challenge with Jaydee as our hostess! This color palette was perfect for an Easter card!

I used a bunch of pastel colors as well as a bunch of products for my card:

I had gotten the Excellent Eggs dies before they retired but had never used them, so I created a big Easter egg using a various assortment of pastel cardstocks, stamping a couple of the panels with some dots and stripes:

The bunny is from a really old SU set; I diecut some other eggs from various DSPs and the sentiment diecut was cut from Basic White. I did create a couple little eggs and gave them The background Petal Pink DSP was mounted on a Petal Pink card and the inside was stamped with a sentiment from CTMH (sorry for the poor photo):

Pastels are so pretty, especially in the spring! I hope you'll play along with us---I am thinking florals, baby, or like mine, Easter!  Can't wait to see what you create over at the Paper Players!

LRW796 Tiny Bunny

Hello, peeps! Yay, it's Friday! I have a fun little Easter card for you today. The challenge at Little Red Wagon this week is "Tiny Dancer"; they want to see something tiny on your card!  (Do you now have Elton John stuck in your head?)  So here we go:

I used an embossing folder and die from Simon Says Stamp, and diecut the wee bunny from a circle of Bubble Bath cardstock. I have struggled with this color; it's a little too purple for me to really consider it a pink, and it's tough to photograph! I am still lamenting the loss of Pink Pirouette, right, Beth?  Anyway, I went with it, stamping my circle with some little Bubble Bath polka dots and popping up the bunny with double mini dimensionals:

I struggled to get the sentiment dark enough, so I opted for Smoky Slate for both the outside and inside sentiments, and added some gray gingham to pull it all together!

Both sentiments came from the retired Little Cuties set!  Now, to make a few more Easter cards!  Thanks for visiting today!  Enjoy it and be blessed!

PP629 Happy Easter Bunny

Hi there, stamping friends!  Jaydee is our hostess at the Paper Players this week and she has a nice easy sketch for us:

As I was going through my many, many dies last week, I came across this little Tim Holtz bunny that seemed to say "Pick me, pick me!"  So I did and this is what I came up with:

I started with a Calypso Coral 4 1/4" square card and added a sweet little floral piece from Dandy Designs DSP.  I diecut all the bunny pieces and adhered them, then assembled the carrot and tucked it under his arms.  A little sentiment from Our Daily Bread Designs was stamped on his tummy, then he was mounted on a Basic White circle with a Pale Papaya scalloped mat  Since the greenery of the carrot seemed a bit out of place, I added a wee banner of some retired gingham ribbon to complement it:

Originally, I had planned to mount my little bunny on this polka-dotted piece, but it was too busy, so I stuck it on the inside and added a Memory Box sentiment:

So cute, and a good start to my Easter cards!  I hope this sketch prompts you to play along with us at the Players---it has endless possibilities!  Check out what the other designers created and share yours with at the Paper Players blog!

FMS574 Inspired by Lemons

Happy Friday, peeps!  Hope you're all safe and sound....there is some wild weather going on out there!  Our temps in Pennsylvania were crazy---70 degrees in February!  I always feel like we're going to be paying for it one way or another!  Anyway, I got a wee bit of stamping time in my craft room yesterday and made a card for Laurel's Inspired By Challenge  (SO CUTE) and the FMS sketch from Jen:

So here we go:

I stamped the lemon in Smoky Slate and colored it in with some Blends, then mounted it on a piece of Soft Sky stamped with a polka dot stamp:

I added a strip of Basic Black, diecut with a die from the retired Mini Treat Bag dies.  The yellow paper panel has little hearts on it; under that I stamped "sweet" from Paper Smooches' Blessed stamp set:

To continue with the dotty theme, I also cut out some dots from my Soft Sky scrap and adhered them next to the sentiment.  I left the inside blank so I can use it for whatever occasion might arise!  Thanks for popping in today!  Enjoy it and be blessed!

PP538 A Sketch from Claire

Happy Sunday, stampers!  I am back after my blog break, and I wish I could say that I got my entire craft room neat and tidy, but unfortunately, it's only a wee bit better!  I sure do have a lot of stamps!  I will keep chipping away at my stash and keep working on the "tidy" part though!

Claire is our Paper Players hostess with week with a lovely sketch, and I pulled out a die I hadn't used for a while to bring it to life!  Here's the sketch:

I dusted off my Sunflower dies and some retired Flower and Field DSP for my bright and cheerful card:

I diecut the sunflower from some Whisper White and Bumblebee cardstocks, and colored the center with some Bumblebee ink:

I polka-dot stamped and diecut some Granny Apple Green leaves, then stamped a sentiment in Granny Apple Green and fussy-cut it to layer on top of a stitched banner:

I love how bright and sunny this card is!  Now be sure to check out all the samples at the Paper Players blog...then share yours with us as well!  Thanks for popping in today!

Cassidy was invited to her friend's birthday party and they went ziplining!  COOL!

Enjoy your day and be blessed!

IB169 Sweet Cupcake Flowers

Happy Thursday, everyone!  It's time for a new Inspired By, and I think I have gained a couple hundred calories just by looking at these luscious treats:

My eye caught that sweet little green and purple cupcake up in the left corner; it reminded me of the little wild violets I would pick as a child, a sweet little bunch of them for my grandmother!  And purple is always a challenge for me, so I decided to go for it:

My Pierced Blooms dies came to my rescue; I diecut some from Gorgeous Grape, with centers of Daffodil Delight and a circular panel of Lemon Lime Twist (which I was sure that I would never  use again, LOL!). To give a little interest to the circle, I stamped it with Versamark using a retired stamp called Dot, Dot, Dot.  I love that the Versamark makes the stamped image just a shade darker than the cardstock itself...subtle but nice!  I added a white scalloped mat and little "bow" of Highland Heather, along with a sentiment from Here's A Card:

To give some texture to the background, I added a layer of Whisper White, embossed with the Ornate Floral EF!  A little rhinestone finished it off!

There is LOTS of inspiration to be found in our cupcake photo today---take one or take them all!  Share them with us at Inspired By so we can be inspired too!  Thanks for popping in today!

Enjoy your day and be blessed!
