RRCB62 Spring Flowers

Happy Tuesday,  peeps!  This is the first of two posts today!  I was honored when Jane of Retro Rubber chose this card as a winner and asked me to be a guest designer!  Thanks, RR team!  Here is the beautiful prompt for their newest challenge:

Displaying RRCB 62.jpg

I love these challenges because I know we all have stamps on our shelves that haven't seen any ink for a while, and this is a chance to dust them off!  For today's challenge, I used two sets:  Array of Sunshine (2011) and Chalk Lines (2014):

I used last week's FMS sketch, which is too late to post, but I still liked it:

I love these big bold flowers!  I stamped each one and fussy cut them out, then added black glimmer brads to the center of the Blush Blossom ones; some speckles and Mint Macaron fronds created a background, and the lines of hearts gave it a nice horizontal element!  The sentiment is from Our Daily Bread Designs:

I hope that you'll find some time to play with the challenge - we all can use some pretty spring flowers in our life!  Be sure to check out the RR blog to see what the other team members created as well!

Well, the construction, or rather demolition, has started!  First, part of the concrete patio was scored and removed, then the Bilco door and steps were taken out!  What a project!

Cassidy didn't know quite what to make of it when she came home from school!

Enjoy your day and be blessed!

Paper Players 286 Hello

Happy Sunday, all!  Did you remember to adjust your clocks?  We did ours on Saturday afternoon, so we had plenty of time to adjust, LOL!  Now it's time for another Paper Players challenge, with our hostess Nance offering up a striking color palette:

Hmm, what to do, what to do?  Floral, geometric, masculine???  I went with an electic style, using the sketch from CAS(E) This Sketch:

which you can see here:

I had a lot of fun making this card; I already had a little scrap of the Pretty Petals paper in Calypso Coral sitting on my desk, so I used that for the corner piece.  The next step was to figure out what to use for the other diagonal images, and I thought the lines from Chalk Lines would be good! I stamped the hearts in Bermuda Bay and the arrows in Basic Black, masking them to make the angle.  I added some doodads from Timeless Textures, some baker's twine and a few sequins (Verve) after stamping that big "hello" from the Hello set:

I took a chance and decided to punch out a little heart in the corner of the CC piece for a little added interest, and I am glad I did...I like the peek-a-boo effect!  Thanks for peeking in yourself today, and be sure to check out what the other designers did this week, and we hope you'll play along too:

Cassidy got thirty stickers on her sticker chore chart at home and Mommy treated her to a trip to Build-a-Bear!  She got a Paw Patrol dog named Chase (which is also the name of Daddy's dog!) and she had a lot of fun!  Isn't he sweet, peeking out of his little carrier?

Enjoy your day!

SIP1 and RS168

DSCF0532

Happy Wednesday, peeps!  I finally received my first SU order with my new goodies, which helped a lot with my stampin’ creativity!  There is a new challenge in town called Stamp Ink Paper, and my sweet friend Sandy is on the DT, so I just had to play in their first challenge!

LeAnne PUgliese WeeInklings Awesomely Artistic Stampin Up Thanks Card

Their first challenge is to use your favorite stamps, ink and paper!

SIP Any Challenge 1

I would never attempt to say which was my favorite stamp set, there are way too many that I like, but I did get this new set Awesomely Artistic, and I am really liking it, so I decided to ink it up with my favorite color, Soft Sky, along with Basic Black!  I also used a new photopolymer set, Endless Thanks, and Chalk Lines:

DSCF0534

I used the new Triple Banner punch for the banner; some Soft Sky twine, and a few sequins for sparkle!  The black panel is embossed with the Vine Street EF, unfortunately, you can’t see it here.  To challenge myself even further, I used this week’s Retrosketches sketch:

This has a few more elements than I usually use, but I ended up loving the final product!  Thanks for stopping by today!

We scored a big doll house at a yard sale on Saturday, and Cassidy was thrilled!

ColourQ

DSCF4854
Happy Tuesday, peeps!  Another ColourQ day….check this out:

This reminds me of the embroidery floss bracelets my daughter used to make when she was a kid….shoot, she was making one the other day when I stopped by her house!!  Aren’t those colors fun?  I used last week’s Retro Sketches sketch (I know it’s expired, but I liked it!) and I already had Yee-Haw sitting on my desk, so I inked it up again:

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings ColourQ256 Yee-Haw Birthday

I saw a cool way to make rickrack using the Envelope Punch Board; you can see it here.  I stamped mine with the letters from Kinda Eclectic, and I used the sunburst from that set too.  The banner was stamped with Chalk Lines, and although you can’t tell, the blue star is glittered up!

DSCF4855

And I just love the inside!  The set Endless Birthday Wishes is so helpful in creating custom sentiments!

Hope you’ll play along with us!  Check out all the samples at the ColourQ blog!

I wanted to share with you Cassidy’s birthday dress; here she is a church:

and here, her “official’ pose, LOL:

The flamingo had a gold lame beak and gold sequins, and the skirt had pompoms along the bottom!   A sweet creation in Calypso Coral!  Enjoy your day!

Stampin’ Royalty 240

DSCF4460

Happy Wednesday, everyone!  Hope you’re having a great week so far!  The sweet gals at Stampin’ Royalty asked me if I would be a guest designer this month, and I was honored to accept!  Their challenge this week is “Stamped Backgrounds”….no problem!  I had a zillion ideas in mind!  In the end, though I thought I would combine a couple of sets for my background….here you go:

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Stampin Royalty 240 Amazing Birthday Chalk Lines Good Greetings

I used Chalk Lines and the new hostess set Good Greetings (what an awesome set!), stamping them in Island Indigo on Very Vanilla, alternating the direction of the stamps.  I then added some embellishments from Amazing Birthday (another great set!) in Pumpkin Pie and Soft Sky.  I diecut a Chalk Talk panel, embossed it and cut it apart to make it a wee bit longer to fit behind my cake image:

DSCF4462

I then added some banners and stars (Pictogram Punches) to embellish it.  I also added a Tangelo Twist ribbon….it’s a little darker than Pumpkin Pie, but they definitely complement each other!

DSCF4463

Finally, on the inside, I stamped the sunburst from Kinda Eclectic and a sentiment from Chalk Talk and stapled on a bit of ribbon:

DSCF4464

It’s cool to have a little surprise like that on the inside, don’t you think?

And since I couldn’t stop at just one, I did a collage-style birthday card in monochromatic browns…..I like the images, I just didn’t like the subdued colors after I finished, but I will keep it and send it to some guy who has a “subdued” personality, LOL!!!

It has a lot of sponging and distressing, and I love the font on the sentiment on the inside:

DSCF4459

It’s from the new pholopolymer set called Holiday Invitation….a fun set with lots of seasonal designs and sentiments!

I hope you’ll pop over to the Stampin’ Royalty blog to see what the others have come up with….you’ll be inspired to do some background stamping of your own!

DSCF3952

Happy 4th, everyone!  Are you doing something fun today?  Hope so!  We will be going to a family picnic later on, but right now I have a couple of cards for you!  The first one uses the Freshly Made Sketches from this week:
along with the colors from Hand Stamped Sentiments:
LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Giraffe Stampin Card

I have a friend who is going through some health issues, and she loves giraffes, so I used a 100 Proof Press image with some scraps of DP and cardstock to make her an encouragement card.

DSCF3951

I made a second card with the same colors, CAS, using stamps from Sweet Stuff again, this time the little bird and the “miss you” sentiment:

I colored it in with a blender pen and ink, then added a couple hearts from Pictogram Punches:

DS156 & TKJ177

DSCF3846

Happy Thursday, peeps….we’re on the downhill slide of the week!  I wanted to play with the pretty colors at The Kraft Journal this week:

as well as Jen’s Deconstructed Sketch:

Deconstructed Sketch 156

But I am so bummed because my white circle looks just like that…a white circle.  In reality, it has a white embossed floral image on it that is very pretty!  But it’s impossible to see here, so you’ll just have to imagine it!  I needed a baby shower card, so this is it!

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Hello Darling Num Num Something to Say Stampin Up Baby Card

It’s always fun to mix and match sets; this uses the little lines of hearts from Chalk Lines for the So Saffron panel; the sweetie pie in Strawberry Slush is from Num Num; the moon, stars and heart are from Pictogram Punches; and the sentiment is from Something to Say:

DSCF3847

And here is a closer view of the embossed floral image from Hello Darling; you might be able to see it:

and finally, on the inside, a little pocket for a gift card:

Thanks for popping by today!

Last night we took a little ferris wheel ride at our local carnival…..it was a beautiful evening and Cassidy had so much fun!

The view was amazing!
