SC77, CC7 & FMS130

DSCF1955-001
Happy Thursday, everyone!  A three-challenge card today!
LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Butterfly Collage Stampin
I used the Freshly Made Sketches sketch from Linda:
The inspiration photo from Stampin’ Celebration 77:
And the butterfly challenge from the Card Concept 7, where I used the "Shabby Chic" style:

I used several different images from Pink Paislee, SU’s Nature Walk, and 100 Proof Press, stamping them collage-style on a Naturals Ivory panel and matting it with a So Saffron panel trimmed in Dazzling Diamonds glitter.  I stamped the butterfly again in Stazon Black and watercolored it with So Saffron ink, then mounted it on a vellum scalloped circle that had been pierced in a circle:

Since this card is going to someone who is going through a very difficult time, I added my favorite CHF verse to the inside:

ColourQ216

DSCF9194

Happy Tuesday, peeps!  Arielle has a fun inspiration photo for us today, which I had just posted to my Pinterest page myself!!!

Maybe someday I could paint up some cute little acorns like this!!  They sure are sweet!  I had some wonderful little autumn squares that were begging to be used for a Thanksgiving card:

I colored the images in the challenge colors with reinkers and a blender pen:

I added some embossing and a bannered sentiment, and I used the Stampin’ Celebration sketch 72 for this week for my layout:

I can’t wait to see what you create with these colors!!  Check out all the designs over at the ColourQ blog for lots more inspiration!

We were given a case of red peppers…..well, they were almost red!  Cassidy was quite enamored of this multi-colored one!

SC65 & HSS157 Celebrate!

DSCF4293-001
Yay---it’s Friday and it’s supposed to be a beautiful day today!  Here’s a bright cheerful card that I made for a couple of new recruits in my downline:
DSCF4294
It uses the sketch from Stampin’ Celebration and the color challenge from Hand Stamped Sentiments:

I guess there aren’t many green daisies out in the real world, but in the stamping world, I can make my flowers any color I want!!!  Decorate A Daisy got star billing here, along with Fabulous Phrases;  I used some canvas for a banner, heat embossed my sentiment and glittered up my flower’s center:

And here’s the inside:

Part of the reason that one of my downline had a recruit was that at the Baltimore Regionals, they issued a challenge for any of the guests (and their demos),  if they signed up right then and there!  So one of the Wee Inkers had a guest and she signed up!  Congrats to both Lynda AND Donna!  Of course, SU has extended that promotion, and if you sign up between now and May 30, you get an extra $30 to spend in your kit…that means you get $155 worth of product for $99! (Hostesses that have a $350 party get an extra $30 to spend too!)  If you’re interested, give me a shout---my email is at the top right corner of my blog!

Speaking of Regionals…..I totally forgot to photograph my swaps, but I did take pictures of the little gifts I gave my downline:

This little hat was a total CASE from the fabulously creative Vicky Hayes; her sample is here.  I changed mine up a wee bit, adding some embossing and shading.  I also CASEd a little bottle cap project from Inking Idaho; the original was a scissors charm, but I didn’t have the wherewithal to run out and buy those little ball chains, so I just made mine into a magnet!

I used images from Collage Curios and Tiny Tags, added Crystal Effects and a wee bit of glitter.  The hole was punched beforehand with my Crop-a-Dile and I added some Summer Starfruit ribbon.
Wednesday afternoon was just glorious!  Cassidy spent some time trying to catch some bubbles:

A Silly Little Card

DSCF8069-1

I saw a couple of challenges yesterday, and I knew I had to put to paper an idea I had kicking around in my head.  It’s a little silly, but it was fun to make!  I do not send out St Patrick’s Day cards----no Irish in my family—but it’s always good to have a sample in my stash just in case someone is looking for one!  So let me show you the card first, then I’ll clue you in on the challenges:

The first challenge is Stampin’ Royalty’s color challenge:

the second is The Paper Variety’s “Let’s See Your Green”:

TPVgreen

and the third is Stampin’ Celebration’s “A Little Bit of Luck”:

SCIC421

The card is pretty straight-forward; I made the hat with the tab punch, using half of the punch to punch out a Wild Wasabi piece, then punching it again to make a smaller piece.  I colored the branch punchouts with a Chocolate Chip marker for the bark; everything else is from the Owl Punch.  Again, it’s a fun little card---and that’s what St. Pat’s is all about, right?  Thanks for visiting today!
