Nacho Average Friend

Happy Thursday, peeps! I recently got some cool strip dies and was playing around with some retired colors, so I decided to use them on a card---that's what they're for, right?  It's not for any challenge, but I did need a couple more birthday cards for my August friends!  Here we go...you might want to put on your shades:

I used strips of Magenta Madness, Parakeet Party and Tahitian Tide, layering them on a piece of scrap paper before trimming them to create a mat.  I stamped images from Taco Fiesta and colored them with Blends, then did some fussy-cutting and diecutting on the pieced mat:

I combined a couple of sets for the inside sentiments, and added a taco!

This set never ceases to crack me up!

I think the technique that Bonnie used on this card is amazing...and one I want to try too!  Aren't those papers stunning?

And I love the bokeh background on this pretty butterfly card from my friend Debbie...PLUS it had a coupon for ICE CREAM on the inside!  Yum!

TGIF494 Spectacolar Birthday

Happy Saturday, peeps! Just a fun little card today for the TGIF sketch challenge:

I needed a birthday card for a friend from church who loves Mexican food; my mind immediately went to the retired Taco Fiesta set!  I turned the sketch on its side and here's what I came up with:

I stamped all the images in Memento black ink and colored them with Blends, then fussy-cut them and mounted them on white panels matted with Poppy Parade.  A retired piece of Granny Apple Green DSP worked for the background, and the sentiment was stamped in Poppy Parade as well!

Happy Thursday, peeps!  I haven't had much stamping time this week, but I did manage to create a fun little birthday card for a dog-loving friend!  It uses the FMS sketch:

And here we go:

My wee little pup and his baseball are from Close to My Heart and the sentiment is so old, I have no idea who made it...I just know the name of the set is Ruff Day!  I used a plethora of die cuts for the grass, sun and clouds, and it all went on a Basic White card base with a Soft Sky sky:

Oh, and I did add a little face from Taco Fiesta on my sun!  And the inside says "That's Happy Birthday in dog talk"...which was partly stamped and partly printed in marker!  Another card in the mail!  Thanks for popping in today--enjoy it and be blessed!

Happy Wednesday, peeps!  I have a fun little card today using the CAS Colours & Sketches sketch:

I haven't played with Taco Fiesta lately, so I stamped, colored and fussy-cut some images, and came up with this:

I began with a Crumb Cake card on which I added a Cane-embossed layer.  I diecut a piece of Basic White with one of the rounded-edge dies from Nested Essentials on which I stamped various colors of confetti, then added my figures and sentiment:

I also diecut a zigzag piece of Coastal Cabana cardstock to add some interest to the sides as well as the inside:

Finally, my sentiment from Circle Sayings went on the inside as well!  Thanks for visiting today--enjoy it and be blessed!

Inspire.Create 143 Taco Time

Happy Monday, peeps! Hope you had a good weekend!  I finally got some of my long-awaited goodies and set about to playing with them!  I waited a little bit before I decided to get the Taco Fiesta set, but I am glad I did! It was perfect for the Inspire.Create sketch this week:

I stamped a few of the images in Memento ink, colored them with Blends, and fussy-cut them out....here we go:

This fun Pumpkin Pie pattern seemed to be a good background choice for these goodies!  I mounted them on squares of Basic White:

And of course, this fun sentiment:

I added some pizzazz around the inside sentiment as well:

So fun!  I can't wait to play with this set some more!
