In(k)spire Me #563 Way To Go

Happy Tuesday, all! My card today uses the sketch from In(k)spire Me, and it's a graduation card for a family friend!  First, the sketch:

Here we go:

I heat-embossed a sentiment from the new set called The Right Words, and I am a little disappointed in how it turned out; my embossing powder may be about 20 years old, so maybe I should invest in some new, LOL!  I diecut it and added a Pretty in Pink scallop to match these pretty florals from Wildflower Birthday DSP:

The gold-striped panel is from the same DSP, I just cut a strip and adhered it to the side. I added a few gold leaves and some sparkly ribbon too!  On the inside, I mixed and matched some sentiments:

The young lady graduate just finished nursing school, so she definitely will be on an adventure!

Thanks for visiting today!  And since I haven't posted a picture of Cassidy lately (she's mostly camera-shy these days), I was thrilled when Dana sent me these!  She and Wayne went fishing after youth group on Sunday evening:

A cute little sunnie!  Enjoy your day and be blessed!

IM507 Hello Friend

Happy Tuesday, everyone!  I think the Inked Botanicals DSP is one of the prettiest in the catalog this year, and have been making good use of the pretty prints and patterns it features.  The sketch from In(k)spire Me was a good one for that:

I only used the sketch this time, not the optional color palette, so here we go:

My sentiment comes from Inked & Tiles, stamped in Lost Lagoon on Very Vanilla cardstock, and it was diecut with the new Nested Essential Dies.  I added a second layer, diecut in Calypso Coral.  The banner behind it is from the same die set; I embossed it with the Countryside Blossoms embossing folder, then cut it in half to "stretch" it a little bit behind my sentiment panel.  An Iridescent Pastel gem finished it off.

Cassidy's soccer team came in second in their playoffs on Sunday.  Her entire middle school went to Hershey Park yesterday and the last day of school is tomorrow!  The summer begins!

Enjoy your day and be blessed!

Edited to add:  The measurements for this card are:
    Lost Lagoon mat:  4" x 5 1/4"
    Top and bottom panels:  1 7/8" x 2 1/2"
REMEMBER:  If you have a question, please be sure to send me an email.  My email address is on the upper right corner of my blog! If you ask a question in the comment screen, many times I have no way of contacting you!  ♥

FMS450 Birthdays

Hi everyone!  Happy Saturday...praying for all those in the hurricanes' paths!  Like we need more things to worry about, right?!  Well, no worries here, just two birthday cards using the Freshly Made Sketches sketch:

The first one uses some printed paper from my stash (thanks, Teri!) and some diecut flowers to match:

I used a favorite My Favorite Things stitched flower die, cutting flowers in So Saffron, Poppy Parade and Soft Sky, and since there are flowers in a garden, I am entering this at the Inspire.Create challenge this week as well:

The sentiment is from Many Mates, heat embossed in white on Basic Gray and diecut with a Stitched So Sweetly die; it's all mounted on a Pool Party card base!

The second one uses the same sketch, and I chose gold pumpkins for a fall birthday card for Seize The Birthday's challenge:

This idea looked better in my head than it did on paper, but you know how it goes...you don't want to toss it after spending so much time on it, LOL!

It's so hard to see, but the W+9 pumpkins are gold embossed and watercolored with Cajun Craze and Terracotta Tile inks:

I used Papertrey's A Wreath for All Seaons to create a fall birthday sentiment, stamped in Cajun Craze and Old Olive, diecut with a Stitched Rectangle die and embellished with Gilded Gems:

The printed paper is from Recollection's Thankful Heart pad; it features some pretty gold embossed designs as well!  Thanks for popping in today!

Enjoy your day and be blessed!
