HSS483 Take Care

Happy Wednesday, peeps! Gray and dreary here, eagerly anticipating warmer temps by the end of the week!  The Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge made my blue-lovin' heart go pitter patter:

Oh, so pretty! The lower left image reminded me of a lovely die and embossing folder combo I was recently given, so I pulled it out along with some Cloud Cover cardstock and went to work:

I cut and embossed a panel with the die and folder, then sponged a light layer of Cloud Cover in on top.  Before mounting it on a Cloud Cover card, I embossed the edge with a stitched die to peek out from behind the diecut edge.  The new SU set called Scalloped Wishes provided the sentiment; it went over a luscious Cloud Cover ribbon as well:

I am also going to add it to Can You Handle the Pressure?  I haven't played with them for a while!

I think this monochromatic card is very peaceful and calming!  Thanks for visiting today! Enjoy it and be blessed!

Simple Shamrock

Happy gray and dreary Saturday, peeps!  Another rainy weekend here in SE PA! I have a quick card for you today; I don't send out St Patrick's Day cards, but it is fun to make a green-themed card for someone who might have a birthday on that day!  I am entering this at the Double D Challenges too:

The new Spring Corners die has a heart-shaped die, so I diecut three of them from Shy Shamrock, and stamped some of the dots from the set to create a shamrock.  I also made a stitched frame and mounted it all on a panel embossed with the Dotted Circles embossing folder:

A fun sentiment from Hooray for Surprises and a single pearl finished it off!  Quick and easy!  And thanks to Diane, who suggested I enter this in the Can You Handle the Pressure challenge!

Thanks for popping in today!  Enjoy it and be blessed!

Cute Little Postage Stamps

Happy Wednesday, peeps! I was lying in bed unable to sleep one night last week and remembered I had these cute tiny little stamps in my stash that would be good for a postage-style card.  The stamps are pretty poor quality, but they are cute, and with a little TLC, I can usually get them to stamp a fairly good image.  I already had a piece of Pool Party embossed with a snowflake embossing folder, so I used that as my starting point:

The card itself is notecard-sized.  I used dies from Waffle Flower's Postage Collage set, then stamped the images and added some shading and coloring.  A couple of stamped images from the Postage Collage stamp set added to the "postage" feel.  Snowflake Sky is the embossing folder I used, and I sponged Craft White ink all over the embossing for that snowy look!  A sentiment from Papertrey went on the inside.

And since the Double D Challenge has a beautiful winter theme, I am going to pop it in there, as well as the Can You Handle The Pressure challenge!  (Thanks for the suggestion, Darlene!)

Thanks for stopping in today! Enjoy it and be blessed!

CAS Plaid Pumpkin

Happy Monday, peeps! I have a fun fall card for you today; it's for the Just Us Girls CAS challenge as well as the Can You Handle The Pressure challenge, which is an "anything goes" embossing folder challenge,  although I did not do the twist of orange and black!

This is one of my favorite fall embossing folders, I've had it for several years and I try to make sure I use it at least once each autumn! I pulled out some retired Hello Honey cardstock and an older W+9 pumpkin stamp and put them all together for my card today:

After running the EF through my Big Shot, I sponged it with some Bumblebee ink, then added my litttle pumpkin, stamped in Pumpkin Pie, Cherry Cobbler and Old Olive inks. I added a couple Old Olive tendrils from the retired Pick a Pumpkin dies:

On the inside, I stamped a sentiment in Pumpkin Pie and added a few more leaves:

Thanks for popping in today!

Our church bonfire was a big hit....hot dogs taste so much better when they're cooked over hot coals, even though Cassidy had to have hers cut up into little tiny pieces because of her braces!

Of course, the hayride was a hit:

I think Cass was the oldest one there, so she was sort of the babyitter of the group, which is a role she loves!  Enjoy your day and be blessed!
