AHSC657 Christmas Tufted Titmouses

Happy Tuesday, all!  Time for a new Atlantic Heart Sketch challenge, here we go:

Since I am kind of done with fall cards, I chose to make another Christmas card, albeit in rather non-traditional Christmas colors!  I chose to use the little tufted titmouses (or is it titmice?!) from Winterly Tree Tops, along with some Nests of Winter DSP:

I used a postage die to cut out the striped paper, then stamped, diecut and watercolored those cute little birds:

I added some berries in Cajun Craze, a little Copper Clay baker's twine bow, and a sentiment from the retired More Merry Messages:

Some sequins finished it off! I'd like to make another card with this sketch, this time using embossed panels behind my main image!  What will you create with it?  I hope you'll play along with our sketch and share your final creation with us at Atlantic Hearts!  Enjoy your day and be blessed!

Thinking of You Always

Happy Thursday, everyone! It is very, very cold here in SE PA, and yet my heart goes out to those affected by the fires in California!  Such a tragedy!  We are just hunkering down and not going outside very much!  I did get in some stamping, though, as I am trying to revisit all the stamps from the regular catalog and Online Exclusives that have been neglected, sitting on my shelf!  I got the Winterly Treetops set a few months ago and played with it a wee bit, then went on to other things, so I got it out, dusted it off and did some stamping and watercoloring! So here's my simple result:

I know it's not blueberry season right now, but I let my colors be guided by the hues of this pretty plaid!  I colored my bird and foliage with Basic Beige ink; it is such an interesting color.  It really has a green tinge to it, so worked well, but I thinned it out a little and it worked well for the bird as well!

I mounted my diecuts on a panel hanging around my desk, then mounted everything on a Basic Beige card.  I left the inside blank as it could be used for almost any occasion!

Thanks so much for popping in today!  Enjoy your day and be blessed!

Winterly Tree Tops Peace

Happy Wednesday, peeps!  I had a chance to play with the new Winterly Tree Tops set, which will be available soon!  I am entering my card in the 52 Christmas Card Throwdown challenge, which is to color in an image, as well as the Christmas Kickstart Challenge, which is festive frames!

I began by stamping the cardinal pair on Thick Basic White with Stazon black ink, diecutting them out, and watercoloring them:

I diecut the frame from the same set of dies, and layered it on a piece of the coordinating DSP, Nests of Winter.  I just LOVE this pattern!  I then popped up the cardinals:

And I used a retired sentiment from Wrapped In Christmas, diecut with the Stylish Shapes dies:

I wish we had some white glimmer paper, because this frame would look amazing diecut from that!

Thanks so much for popping in today!  Enjoy it and be blessed!

AHSC584 Thinking of You Always

Happy Monday, everyone!  Happy July!  And it's time for a new Atlantic Hearts sketch challenge!  Here we go:

I recently got the new Scenic Pumpkin Patch stamp set that will be available in a couple of days.  Honestly, I shy away from SCENES.  Yikes, they scare me! But I was determined to try out this set because I just love pumpkins! And I know we're in the middle of summer, but bear with me as I stamp some pumpkins:

I placed most of my stamping to the right of the panel to satisfy the sketch.  I did make a lot of little masks to keep in my stamp case for future use....it's really helpful when you want to layer these images! Everything is pretty straightforward stamping, although I did use a die that I can't even remember the name of, it was one of the first SU came out with, along with some retired leaf dies and some fall colors:

The sentiment is also new, from the Winterly Tree Tops set, such a nice sentiment too! The Mossy Meadow card base was embossed with the Leaf Fall EF, although it's hard to tell!

So I'll keep playing with this set and hopefully the scenery won't scare me so much, LOL!  I hope you'll play along with our sketch too!  The Atlantic Hearts blog will feature all the DT samples on Wednesday, so check them out!  Thanks for popping in today!  Enjoy it and be blessed!

AHSC583 Joy & Peace

Happy Monday, everyone! Time for a new Atlantic Hearts sketch!  Here we go:

What a lovely sketch! On Saturday, two demos in my downline gathered together for a SU event where we got to play with the new Winterly Tree Tops bundle!  It's not available yet, except to demonstrators! Before we met, I decided to play with it myself and I used these pretty swags to make a Christmas card:

I stamped them in Old Olive and used a blender pen and Old Olive and Mossy Meadow inks to fill in the greenery, and Real Red for the berries.  I used a sentiment from the retired Night Divine on a Very Vanilla Oval, and matted it with a Real Red scalloped oval. The background paper is from Traditions of St Nick DSP:

I mounted everything on a Basic Beige card, added a little satin ribbon and stamped this sentiment from the retired Peaceful Pines on the inside:

This is going to be a fun bundle to play with!  Thanks for visiting today--enjoy it and be blessed!
