DSCF5419

Woohoo!  Happy Tuesday, everyone!  Wow, how can it be the last day of September?!!  Yikes!   I hope you’ll have some crafty time to spend with the ColourQ challenge this week!  Check this cutie out:

What a sweet little guy to welcome you & your guests at the door!  Unlike the old piece of carpet that’s serving as my welcome mat right now, LOL!  Gotta remedy that!  Anyway, I was lamenting that I had no cute little fox stamps, when I spied Storybook Friends in my retired pile, and guess what?  There was a fox….I had never even inked him up!  So I got to work and used the sketch from Hand Stamped Sentiments this week, a nice simple one:

And here is my Mr Fox:

Isn’t he cute?  We were supposed to go to a friend’s retirement party on Saturday, but since DH was still under the weather, I’ll just send her this!  I colored the fox with an aquapainter and reinker ink, then added a little grass with my blender pen and mounted it on my card.  The sentiment is from Good Greetings, stamped on a Kiwi Kiss banner cut from the Itty Bitty Banners die:

The papers are from Simple Stories’ Harvest Lane; the ribbon is retired SU.  I did add a couple sparkly brads just for fun, along the scalloped panel!  Hope you will come play with us too!  Be sure to check out the designers’ samples as well…as usual, they’re full of fun ideas!

Cassidy had a physical on Friday, and the doctor asked me, “Does she dress up? Does she play make-believe?  Does she interact with you freely?”  Yes, yes and yes…..she promptly went home and put on one of my shirts, a sports bra over top of that, and Grampy’s shoes!  And then said “CHEESE” for the camera!  Oh, that kid!

Merry Monday 128

DSCF5380

Happy Monday, everyone!  Katie is our Merry Monday challenge this week, and she has chosen stripes and/or polka dots to be featured on your card:

The All is Calm DSP has both stripes and polka dots, so I chose that to embellish my card created with the Circle Card Thinlet and an image from Festival of Trees:

Since the matching Washi tape featured some stripes, I added some of that, and my tree has polka dots, including the embossed panel behind it!  I used a sentiment from Good Greetings, stamped to fit in a circle punch for the front, and here’s the “inside”, stamped with Endless Wishes:

This was such a fun card to make!  I hope you’ll play along too…there are some REALLY cute cards in the designers’ gallery this week!  Have fun!

Paper Players 215 CAS-Style

DSCF5369

Happy Sunday, peeps!  Wow, what a beautiful fall weekend we’ve had.  We’re all feeling a wee bit better; thanks so much for the well-wishes!

Sandy is our hostess today and I squealed with pleasure when I saw the sketch she made for us!  SO many ways to use this one….I’ll be saving it for future use for sure!  Here you go:

A lot of the design team chose fall and Halloween themes, which were awesome, but I chose the “playful” color challenge from Colour Me…! challenge this week:

And here’s my little card:

Easy-peasy CAS design, a couple of dies and a punch, made this card a snap to create!  I added a sweet little sentiment from Six-Sided Sampler, along with a trio of hearts from the Owl Builder punch, and it was done:

The design team’s creations are stellar, so be sure to check them all out:

And we are looking forward to seeing your card in the gallery too!  Who knows, you may be a Cut-Above or a Headliner this week!  Enjoy your day!

We went to an Apple Festival yesterday at a local park, and Cassidy was all about the playground, LOL!

Happy Friday, peeps!  Yuck, we are all down with colds here in the Pugliese household.  I figured as soon as Cassidy went to preschool, she’d get hit with something, and she did, but I wasn’t figuring on Grammy & Grampy getting it too!  So we are laying low and trying to rest up!  I did spy an interesting sketch this week at Try Stampin’ on Tuesday; here it is:

I have to admit, once I started making my Halloween card, I couldn’t stop!  This is a wee bit busy, but I had so much fun playing with my spooky stuff:

I used papers from two My Mind’s Eye Halloween 6x6 pads, Happy Haunting and Mischievous; a plethora of stamps from various places and a few little sequins from my stash:

So much fun!  Thanks for stopping by!

Hi everyone!  I have another Christmas card to share today; usually I post my cards on Monday, but the 52 Christmas Card Throwdown had a Nordic challenge, so I combined it with the Freshly Made Sketches sketch 155 by my sweet friend Karren:

Since the Trim the Tree DSP stack has some wonderful Nordic designs, I knew just which papers to use:

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Nordic Christmas Great Greetings Stampin Up

I added a white embossed panel and a little tag I punched with the Scallop Tag Topper punch.  I created a plaid background with the Project Life Holiday Cheer stamp in Sahara Sand and Craft White….since it’s polymer, it was a snap to line up!

DSCF5364

I used the retired Stitched Stocking stamp and punch for my stocking, and added some of that yummy Cherry Cobbler linen ribbon from the Holiday mini, tied with a piece of baker’s twine.  I had a lot of fun making this card!

A couple more fair pictures; this is our favorite activity of all!  One of the vendors that sells chicks, ducks and feeds, has been doing this for many, many years; this was one of Dana’s favorites when she was little too!  I didn’t get good pictures of the activity itself, but basically, the ducklings walk up an incline and try to eat the food at the top.  The food tray is placed just a little out of their way, which causes them to slide down the slide and quickly waddle around to go up the incline again!  The kids were laughing hysterically, which made me laugh too:

Kraft Journal 190

DSCF5331

Hi everyone!  It’s Wednesday—yay, halfway through the week!  The sketch at the Kraft Journal was a bit challenging, so I decided to go for it:

My sister just found out she’s going to be a grandmom in April!  She’s over-the-moon excited, so it gave me a chance to use a little vintage baby set I got recently:

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Baby Congrats

I stamped the images in Early Espresso; the DSP was some scraps I had in my scrap pile!  The sentiment is from And Many More, cut out with a Nestie banner die.  I’m pretty excited about her news too!

Cassidy’s first day of preschool went very well, although she wouldn’t tell me too much about it!  She said she had fun, though!

Hey, peeps, it’s Tuesday, and that means another cool color challenge from Arielle for the ColourQ!  Here you go:

Definitely a boyish color combo, although it doesn’t necessarily have to be!  I inked up some images from Geometrical and A Fitting Occasion, both of which have been neglected, and paired them with a sentiment from a new Project Life set called Remember This:

I added some scallops and zigzags, and popped it all on a panel that I embossed with the Alphabet EF:

I added a little sentiment (and hat!) to the inside as well:

Sentiment is from Fabulous Four!  I hope you can come play with us this week!

Merry Monday 127

DSCF5262-001

Happy Monday, peeps!  Hope you had a wonderful weekend!  Today, Kathy has a fun bingo challenge for our Merry Monday crafting!

I chose the left column of “sparkle, die cut and red” for my card today!

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Merry Monday 127 Christmas

I can’t put “red” and “sparkle” together without thinking of SU’s red glimmer paper, so I pulled out my Lil’Inker Jingle Bell and Joy dies and went to work!  I punched out some “sprigs” from Pool Party cardstock with a Martha Stewart punch and adhered them to the top along with a baker’s twine bow:

DSCF5264

The Jolly & Joyful Sentiments set works with these dies so well!  I stamped the sentiment in Coastal Cabana, and then mounted everything on a Lil’Inker stitched mat. I adhered that to a retired piece of Fresh Prints DSP atop a Crumb Cake card base.  I love the big pop of sparkle!

I hope you’ll play along with our Bingo challenge this week, and be sure to check out all the fun samples from our Design Team!

We went to the Solanco Fair on Friday, and Cassidy really enjoyed herself!  The school’s elementary classes had a pumpkin-decorating contest and Cassidy was fascinated with the candy-decorated one:

DSCF1880

Of course, she had to snitch a piece:

DSCF1879

And when I asked her to pose next to MY favorite one, Olaf, I could see that little piece of candy corn in her mouth!!!  AND I just noticed she had one in her hand, too!

Paper Players 214

DSCF5171

Hi everyone!  It’s Sunday, and that means time for another Paper Players challenge!  Jaydee is our hostess today with a clean and simple challenge!

Lucky for me, I already had a card in mind for this challenge….this is the card my club girls made this month, using the stars mask and the new photopolymer set, Yee-Haw:

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Paper Players 214 Yee Haw Stampin Up

I used Pacific Point for my card base, and sponged Pacific Point ink through the mask; the lasso was stamped in Real Red, and the hat was stamped on a piece of Maritime DSP.  We did some more fun stamping on the inside:

DSCF5174

The “have a” sentiment from Endless Birthday Wishes worked perfectly with these sentiments…..and there you have it, a CAS masculine birthday card!

I hope you’ll play along with us this week….you KNOW you always need masculine cards, right?  And be sure to check out what the other designers made for this challenge as well:

Cassidy starts preschool tomorrow!  Here she is at her orientation, happily having a snack!
