Merry Monday 115

DSCF3891-001
Happy Monday, peeps!  Hope you had a fabulous weekend!  And how can it be the last day of June already?!  Wowza!   Kristie is our Merry Monday hostess today with a wonderful challenge for us:

Oh, how I love white cards, but find them challenging to photograph!  You will just have to use your imagination here and hopefully you can envision this card:

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Merry Monday 115 Christmas Stampin

I used a Tim Holtz reindeer die to cut out my “Rudolph” flying over the snowy housetops on my card.  The scenery die is from Memory Box; the “line” that you see on the scenery is actually a little line of glimmer pen, and in real life, it looks very pretty….not so much here in the photo!  I added a silver sentiment:

DSCF3893

and a silver bow for Rudolph:

DSCF3894

and a little silver greeting on the inside:

The design team has come up with some incredibly beautiful white creations!  Be sure you check them all out at the Merry Monday blog!  And play along with us as well---it’s halfway to Christmas!!!

Cassidy thinks it’s great fun to run around to the front of the house and ring the doorbell to make me come to the door!

And I just had to share this!  This is what happens when dolls misbehave; they have to go to dolly time-out!  No, actually, she was in the pool and she was standing up to “drain”, LOL!

Paper Players 202

DSCF3888

Happy Sunday, peeps!  What a glorious weekend it is turning out to be in PA!  I am not sure if Mother Nature is rewarding us for having to suffer through such a difficult winter, but I am taking it gladly!!!  Sandy is our hostess today for the Paper Players, and she has a Tic-Tac-Toe challenge for us all:

I needed a thank you card, so I chose the middle horizontal line….but then I realized I didn’t have much green patterned paper!  Yikes, how can that be?  I searched some of my retired DP and found some SAB paper from a couple years ago, and went to work:

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Paper Players 202 Chalk Talk Thank You Stampin Up

This is definitely a combo of old and new!  The Baja Breeze elements are all retired, as is the little heart charm (some of these might still be available on the Clearance Rack!), but the stamps are all current:  Everything Eleanor, Chalk Talk and Blooming with Kindness.  I did a little sponging to mimic the colors on the DP, and shabbied up some of the seam binding for a vintage look!

DSCF3888-001

So what tic-tac-toe series will tempt you to create something this week?  Be sure to check out all the designers’ samples here:

and share yours with us as well!  We can’t wait to see what you come up with!

Have you EVER seen raspberries this big?  Humongous!

Confetti Celebration Times Three

DSCF3881

Happy Friday everyone!  So happy to see the weekend ahead!  I have three cards to show you; I was playing with some more Confetti Celebraton designer paper, and I decided just to use up the entire 4x12” sheet that I had cut!!  So here we go!  The first one is for the Pals Paper Arts sketch 209 this week:

PPA209 June 26

I already had this little tag assembled and sitting on my desk, so when I saw this sketch, I thought I could make it work.  It deviates a bit from the sketch, but I think it still works!

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Pictogram Punches Stampin Up

I used Bermuda Bay cardstock and Wild Wasabi, Bermuda Bay, Daffodil Delight, Crisp Cantaloupe and Strawberry Slush inks for my Pictogram Punches tag.  The Itty Bitty Accents punch pack really makes punching out these cute little flowers a breeze!  The sentiment is from And Many More.

The next card uses sketch 26 from Match the Sketch:

This card is a graduation card for a friend’s son; I used Basic Black for the accents and stamping, again using Pictogram Punches and the Itty Bitty Accents punch pack for the stars:

I also used a couple of sentiments from Something to Say for the inside:

Finally, the sketch 142  from Freshly Made Sketches for a little girl’s birthday card:

And here we go:

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Sweet Stuff Birthday Stampin Up

I used a sentiment and image from Sweet Shop, colored my little ballerina with some reinkers and an aquapainter, then added a wee bit of glitter:

I know a little girl whose birthday is coming up in a couple of months, wink wink!  Thanks for visiting today!

More carnival fun!

DS156 & TKJ177

DSCF3846

Happy Thursday, peeps….we’re on the downhill slide of the week!  I wanted to play with the pretty colors at The Kraft Journal this week:

as well as Jen’s Deconstructed Sketch:

Deconstructed Sketch 156

But I am so bummed because my white circle looks just like that…a white circle.  In reality, it has a white embossed floral image on it that is very pretty!  But it’s impossible to see here, so you’ll just have to imagine it!  I needed a baby shower card, so this is it!

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Hello Darling Num Num Something to Say Stampin Up Baby Card

It’s always fun to mix and match sets; this uses the little lines of hearts from Chalk Lines for the So Saffron panel; the sweetie pie in Strawberry Slush is from Num Num; the moon, stars and heart are from Pictogram Punches; and the sentiment is from Something to Say:

DSCF3847

And here is a closer view of the embossed floral image from Hello Darling; you might be able to see it:

and finally, on the inside, a little pocket for a gift card:

Thanks for popping by today!

Last night we took a little ferris wheel ride at our local carnival…..it was a beautiful evening and Cassidy had so much fun!

STS23

DSCF3830

I am regretful that I haven’t played with Lesley’s sketch challenge, Seize the Sketch, for a long time!  So I remedied that with a card for a friend who is going through a long bout with cancer; he is nearing the end,  but we wanted to let him know we miss him at church and that we are praying for him!  So here’s the sketch:

I only have a couple of the new DPs and when I got this Confetti Celebration, I thought….WHAT am I going to do with this?!!!  But I persevered, remembered Geometrical with its fun triangle elements and went to work!

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Geometrical Sweet Stuff Stampin Up

Once I got going, I was having a blast with all the colors: Tangelo Twist, Strawberry Slush, Bermuda Bay, Hello Honey, Basic Gray and Pistachio Pudding!!!  Sounds like a really potent drink, doesn’t it?!  I also used some Sweet Sadie Washi Tape and a Candy Dot!!!  Fun!

DSCF3831

I also used a sentiment from Sweet Stuff and a little star from Something to Say!  Thanks for visiting today!

We went to a local pool yesterday and Grammy did not slather on enough sunscreen on her wee one’s face!  After a short nap, she played in her sandbox….but truthfully, she was exhausted!  Can you tell?

ColourQ247

DSCF3811

Happy Tuesday, peeps!  Arielle has an interesting color combo for us today!  What do you think of this cute little dress?  Such fun colors!

I played around with these colors a bit, made two cards actually, so here is the first one:

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings ColourQ247 FLower Patch Stampin Up

I used the new SU set, Flower Patch, and the matching Flower Fair dies, stamping various flowers in the challenge colors.  (I actually used Blushing Bride instead of Blush Blossom, though!)   I trimmed my card a little narrower than the regular size so that I could hang the flowers off the edge, and trimmed one bottom edge with the new Project Life corner punch!  A few pearls were added to the centers.  I stamped the inside as well, using a sentiment from Something to Say:

DSCF3813

My other card used Flower Shop as well as Flower Patch, along with some punching and piercing:

DSCF3814

I hope you’ll find a way to use these challenge colors, and be sure to check out what the Courtiers did with them as well, at the ColourQ!

It’s no secret Cassidy loves babies…here she is with my great-niece Charlotte!

DSCF1532

And on another note, we always get our eggs from a local Amish farm; last week, three times, we got double-yoked eggs!

Merry Monday 114

DSCF3804

Happy Monday, peeps!  That means a new Merry Monday challenge….I couldn’t play last week and really missed it, so I wanted to make sure I was able to play this week!  Here’s our challenge from Katie:

Well, I knew what sentiment I wanted to use….it’s from My Favorite Things’ Seasonal Sentiments.  But what to make “sparkly”?  I then remembered this awesome sparkly paper that a sweet customer gave me, so I went to work:

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Merry Monday 114 Sparkle Christmas Card Stampin

Since the paper was so striking, I didn’t add a thing to it except the sentiment itself, matted with some Red Glimmer Paper.  I cut out a little piece of one of the swirls and popped it up, and added a rhinestone.  I hope you can see how pretty the paper is:

DSCF3807

The card base is Bravo Burgundy, and I added a pretty sentiment and “sparkle” to the inside as well:

DSCF3808

Christmas is a perfect time to add sparkle and shine to your project, so I hope you can play along!  Be sure to check the Merry Monday blog to see ALL the awesome creations!  See you there!

The fudgesicle Cassidy was eating just sort of got the better of her!

Paper Players 201

DSCF3792-001

Hi peeps!  It’s Sunday, and that means another Paper Players challenge!  Wow, we really loved seeing what you came up with for the 200th challenge!  Now, on to the next 200!  Wheee!  This week, Nance has a lovely sketch for us:

I have a confession:  I have a ton of new SU stamps sitting in a huge stack on my desk to play with, and yet I used non-SU stamps for my card today!  I know, shame on me, but when I saw this photo inspiration from Inspired By:

I just had to pull out some little kitchen-y stamps I purchased recently at a LSS:

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Paper Players 201 Stampin Kitchen Card

I did use Hardwood for the background, and the new Pictogram for the cute little flowers:

DSCF3794

I already had a little piece of shabby seam binding on my desk, left from another project, so I added it to some rickrack from my stash, along with a little gray button, atop our burlap ribbon for the banner:

DSCF3795

I also did some stitching and distressing, so I am entering this in the Shabby Chic challenge at the Kraft Journal as well!  This card will be going to my sister….she did something really nice for me last week, and we always hang out in my kitchen!!  Well, on the porch drinking coffee and watching birds too!  And I just love this sketch so much, you may see it again this week!  Hope you all will play along too!  Here’s the DT links so you can peek at theirs:

Enjoy your week!

Say “cheesy curls”!!!!
