AYSI116 Vintage Santa

Happy Friday, peeps!  I managed to squeak in another simple Christmas card yesterday (I think I am addicted to making Christmas cards….I have SO MANY Christmas images!)…this one is perfect for the As You See It challenge this week, which is “Santa Claus”:

I snagged this gorgeous vintage Santa image a week or so ago; it’s from Create With TLC, and it has a lovely canvas look to it!  I simply printed it out, trimmed it down, added “Believe” in Early Espresso and a wee bit of glitter:

then I decided to add some gold with glimmer stars and gold ribbon, mounting it all on a Riding Hood Red card.  I just love him!  Quick and easy!  Thanks for popping in today!

Spooky Owls

DSCF2196

Happy Saturday, peeps!  We are in the throes of some nasty weather, thanks to Hurricane Joachin!  We’ve been hunkering down and trying to stay dry.  Good stamping weather, right?  TLC has a cool digital image available and I thought it would be perfect for a spooky Halloween card!  I printed it on Very Vanilla cardstock and colored it with some Copics:

I found some retired SU Halloween DSP that worked well, and added a sentiment, leaves, ribbon & candy dots!  To make the moon, I cut a circle from a piece of scrap paper and merely colored inside with a Copic:

Don’t those eyes look eerie?!  Be sure to come back tomorrow for a new Paper Players challenge too!

A little play-doh action!

ColourQ 208

DSCF8170-002

Happy Tuesday, peeps!  Oooooh, a fun challenge from Arielle today at the ColourQ:

Wow, any color plus black and white!  FUN!  Since the Less is More challenge was to use felt or fabric on your creation, I chose to use So Saffron as my spot color:

I happened to find this beautiful digi sentiment from TLC that I felt really was appropriate to the zentangle look to the challenge; you might be able to see that I colored in the “autumn” a wee bit, plus added a few stamped images:

I used the sketch 223 from Unscripted Sketches as well:

I know black is not a traditional fall color, but I just love how this turned out!

DD’s Birthday

DSCF6033

29 years ago today, I gave birth to my beautiful daughter, Dana!

Last week I found  a really sweet digi image on TLC, began coloring,  and then realized it would make a cute birthday card for her:

I colored the image with Copics, added some Cosmo Cricket Odds & Ends Papers, some oval & scalloped mats and a pretty little rolled rose:

A PTI sentiment and some pink baker’s twine finished it off!  Thanks for visiting today!

Yesterday we learned about JELLO!
