Happy Tuesday, peeps! I strayed from my SU goodies to make a seasonal card today, using the sketch from Match The Sketch:

and the Kraft Journal’s challenge of Anything Goes-Pumpkin, and the City Crafter Challenge of “Fall”!! I jump at any chance to use this little W+9 Pumpkin, so I put it to use with some Simple Stories Harvest Lane DSP, a Darice embossing folder and a Lil Inker’s Stitched Circles die:
I did use a strip of SU DSP from Farmer’s Market, along with some Linen Thread; card base is Delightful Dijon, circle is Crumb Cake, and I’ve used mats of Tip Top Taupe, Old Olive and Tangelo Twist. Ink colors are Tangelo Twist, Old Olive and Cherry Cobbler. My sentiment is from Mixed Holiday Sentiments by My Creative Time! I plan to put a birthday sentiment on the inside for a special fall b-day!
And speaking of pumpkins, we picked our first one yesterday….we only have 8 more, and they’re small, but we’re thrilled to have some that actually grew!
Enjoy your day!

TSOT228
Happy Tuesday, peeps! Hope you’re having a good week so far! Try Stampin’ on Tuesday has a lovely sketch for you all today! What do you think:

I am always in need of Christmas cards, and I wanted to use some of the Christmas DSP in the new catalog, so went with some country plaid:
Since our “bonus” challenge is embossing, I used the Snow Flurries EF on a piece of Cherry Cobbler, added some crochet trim and Mossy Meadow baker’s twine and finally, on top, added a W+9 plaid tree and heart stamped in Always Artichoke:
I thought it might be a bit too fussy with the plaid, but I think it works well! The heart was stamped in Cherry Cobbler as well; cardstock is Naturals White. And since this week’s Merry Monday challenge features hearts, I’m entering there as well!!

I hope you’ll play along with us this week! You can check out all the other samples at the Try Stampin’ on Tuesday blog, or on our Facebook page!
A big box, a baby doll and a DVD on TV=Cassidy’s version of going to the movies!
Enjoy your day!

Merry Monday 90
Happy Monday, peeps! The Merry Monday challenge is back, and for the new year, Lesley has switched the Christmas card challenge to its very own separate blog! You can see it HERE! To start us off, we’re to use ribbon or twine on our card this week:

Since my plan this weekend was to have a hostess appreciation party, I chose to make a really simple card. THAT plan was changed due to weather, but that’s okay…better for my stampers to be safe! Here you go:
I actually used three different ribbons on my card today: SU’s striped ribbon in Riding Hood Red, narrow ribbon in Real Red and some “Merry Christmas” from my stash:
I used a cute stamp & die from W+9 called Pretty Patches tree, stamping them in Wild Wasabi, Chocolate Chip and Real Red. The card base is Natural Composition Specialty paper in the musical theme. I hope you have some fun ribbons or twine you can dig out to make a card to start your Christmas stash this week! Share it with us at the NEW Merry Monday Christmas Card Challenge blog!
Grampy gave Cassidy a little train set he had gotten several years ago—it’s just a little cheapie set, but she loved lining them all up…she does that so well!
Enjoy your day!

A Plethora of Fall Cards
Happy Thursday, peeps! I had a little time to stamp this week, although a bout of insomnia is really ruining my crafty time! Not sure what is going on…I either can’t fall asleep, or fall asleep, wake up and can’t go back to sleep! Anyway, my craft counter is a MESS….there are fall stamps everywhere, Christmas stamps everywhere, cards everywhere….I really need a non-stamping day to get organized! Anyway, I have been waiting all year to use this little W+9 Pretty Patches Pumpkin set, and I thought this would be good for the CASology 66 this week, which is pumpkins!
I already had the gingham square laying on my desk from something else, so I just diecut and stamped the images and layered them on top:
The sentiment in the set is so pretty, I had to use it on the inside as well:
Here’s another card, this one uses stamps from a new-to-me company called Creative Time; this one uses the ColourQ colors from this week as well as some images from a Halloween Recollections set:
and finally, a Thanksgiving card, again using the same Creative Time set (it’s called Just For You) and the Retrosketches sketch for this week:
The leaf is from Waltzingmouse.
Cassidy is becoming quite a good helper in the kitchen, although she always wants to use utensils that aren’t quite age-appropriate! I did let her use a plastic lettuce-cutting knife while I supervised; she actually did very well and contributed to the salad for that night’s dinner!
Thanks for peeking in today! If you have any questions, please pop me an email!

Merry Monday 73
Happy Monday, everyone! It’s Merry Monday time, and there’s a wee bit of a change! Lesley will be offering an inspiration challenge as well as a “club” style challenge! Check out all the details on her blog, Always Playing with Paper! We hope you’ll play along! And here’s the challenge for this week:

This is swoon-worthy to me! I just LOVE this….I couldn’t decide WHAT to do, there were so many beautiful inspirations in this one photo! Since I was short on time, I went with a simple ever-favorite Christmas tree:
This ribbon has been knocking around in my ribbon box for a long time! I am so happy to finally put it to use! I added some rickrack (I see crookedly, too) and a sweet little diecut tree and heart from W+9 Designs:
The sentiments are from the same set:
I love this country-style creation! What will you create? Can’t wait to see—share it with us at Always Playing with Paper! And be sure to check out the new rules, too!
Here’s a quick little pic of Cassidy “reading” to her mommy’s teddy bear:
Enjoy your Labor Day!

TSOT93 with Make It Monday
I hope everyone in the US had a wonderful Thanksgiving day! It was nice to spend time with my family. I did have a little stamping time, and I got some new stampin’ goodies that were itching to get inky! I was just playing around with some scraps when I stumbled on the Try Stampin on Tuesday sketch for this week:

And here we go:
Isn’t that the cutest little tree…..as well as the heart? I probably should have reversed the colors, but as I said, I was just sort of playing around!
My next one uses a pretty reindeer image with some embossed backgrounds and a vintage newspaper designer paper:
I’m entering this one in The Kraft Journal’s Make It Monday: Holiday Cards!
I have an awesome stash of Christmas cards to send this year! Remember, if you have any questions, just shoot me an email!
I don’t have any Thanksgiving pictures of Cassidy, but I do have a couple from last week, when she was nursing her sick baby doll:
Taking her temperature with an emery board “thermometer”:
Checking her ears with the nose syringe:
And making sure her teeth were very, very clean (note she has TWO toothbrushes!):
What a great imagination! Have a great day!
