Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day, everyone!  I hope you can spend some time today with the favorite people in your life!  I have a couple of simple projects to share today; I needed a little gift bag for a little candy treat for Cassidy and found these 6 1/2" bags in my stash that I picked up at a yard sale a couple of years ago!  And then I found some ancient red and pink DSP in the back of my scrap tub that were perfect Valentine colors!  A couple of hearts, a sentiment from Paper Pumpkin and a big fat ribbon, and it was all set to go:

And since Cassidy is really into "to/from" - she puts it on all her crafting - I added this to the back!

For my stamp clubs on Monday, I made these little candy treats using an awesome video tutorial by my equally awesome friend Dawn Tidd.  You can see it here, she gives great directions and has such a lovely voice too!

I created mine with Berry Burst cardstock and Bundle of Love Specialty paper, along with a foil arrow diecut from last year's Love Note's Framelits, and finished it with a sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes!  The stamping on it is from Apron of Love...what a fun set!

And finally, this sweet little square card was made by one of my stamp club hostesses, Robyn!  Look how precious this is, especially in pretty red, gray and white!

We even used the same sentiment and punch...great minds think alike!  I love the little love bird and the embossed hearts...I sorta forgot I had that embossing folder!  Thanks, Robyn!

And here's a vintage Valentine for all of you, my friends!  Enjoy your day and be blessed!

SIP Color Challenge

Happy Tuesday, peeps!  As I write this (on Monday afternoon!), our family is basking in the Eagles' win and looking forward to the Super Bowl....and I can't believe I am actually saying that!  Growing up, my high school did not have a football team, (although they now do), so my high school memories only include going to basketball games.  Hence, football doesn't really thrill me; I still struggle with understanding the plays and scoring, despite John explaining it over and over.  But I do enjoy my family getting together and having fun, so I am all for that!

Okay, on to our Stamp Ink Paper challenge this week.  I must confess that these colors were a struggle for me, so I apologize if my card is less than stellar!  Sometimes you just have to let it go, right?  So here we go:
No automatic alt text available.

Of course, I normally try to steer away from the obvious, which would be hearts and valentines, but I went with the flow today and created a Valentine card using some pretty My Mind's Eye Honey Cake 6x6 papers as my starting point:

I used my favorite layout, using both sides of the paper, then added a tag with some elements in the challenge colors.  I used a SU Calypso Coral Blend in the lighter shade to color in the "you" at the bottom of the tag, then cut the diecut from Calypso Coral cardstock.  A glimmer heart, Raspberry Ripple embellishment and stitched ribbon, and a little snippet of doily finished it all off:

I hope you'll pop into the SIP blog and check out what the other designers did....there were some fabulous creations that will inspire you a lot more than mine, LOL!

The weekend before the big game, the family went to Dick's Sporting Goods and Cassidy had a chance to sign a big game board....I am sure her signature helped the Eagles win, don't you think?!

Enjoy your day and be blessed!

You Make My Heart Happy

Happy Thursday, peeps!  I made a Valentine's card today and I got my inspiration from this totally cute card made by my friend Dawn!  You can see it here!  I used the little friends from Bella and Friends for mine:

I masked each critter and stamped the opposite one on the end of a piece of Whisper White cardstock, then drew in the grass with black and Gumball Green markers.  The friends were colored with SU Blends, and the Real Red hearts were cut from the hearts die found in the Everyday Jars Framelits.  I glued them together to form a little garland!

I added a sentiment from this month's Paper Pumpkin, a stitched border (I used a piece of Crumb Cake cut with the Stitched Shapes square die, and trimmed the edges), a little washi tape embellishment and a wee gingham bow!

Thanks for popping in today!

Another snow day yesterday, and Cassidy decided she wanted to use her new pottery wheel!!  Now this is something I've never done, so it was certainly a learning experience for both of us!

Not quite sure exactly what it was we were making....but it needs to dry and be painted, so hopefully we'll be able to show it to you soon!  Enjoy your day and be blessed!

Paper Players 330 Love Letter Silhouette

Hi everyone!  It's Claire's turn to be our hostess at the Paper Players, and she has a sweet theme....Valentine's!

I saw this amazing photo inspiration at The Heart Desires!  I love that little pincushion in the upper left corner!

I bought this silhouette image at a yard sale last year; it was a SU stamp, but it wasn't in a box, so I don't know the name of the set!  I used the envelope, note and heart dies from Love Notes; the papers are from Maja Design, and I used a Lil'Inker stitched die:

I love this sweet little girl and her pet, mailing a love note to her special Valentine!

Here's what the note inside the little envelope says; and a closeup of some of the hearts:

And the inside, stamped in Strawberry Slush and Crumb Cake:

I know you have lots of ideas for Valentine's Day, so get stamping!  Show us your sweet creations!  And meanwhile, you can check out what the DT came up with:
