My daughter is getting married in a couple hours, so before the final flurry of hair & makeup, I thought I would very quickly post the card I made her ! I got the idea from Kim Lampone’s post here, and it was so cute, I knew I had to make one for Dana & Charlie too. I changed the colors to reflect the colors Dana is using in her wedding (plum & gold) and added a different sentiment:
I used the beautiful Bride DP from SU---such a gorgeous set of papers! And although Charlie is NOT wearing a tuxedo, I still thought it was a fun way to use this heart punch. And finally, since it is raining and blowing like a hurricane, I thought I would share something that my friend Lesley shared with me when she told me it rained on her wedding day, too. This is a quote from her Scottish friend Harry Dougan: “Take heart my dear, for the sun has bowed down to the beauty of the bride and will not shine today, for none could outshine the radiance of your loveliness.” Wasn’t that sweet? I wrote that on the inside of her card as well. So, off I go! This is a very small wedding, no professional photographer, so hopefully friends & family will take lots of pix I can share with you! Have a great Saturday!

I am sorry that your daughter had a very rainy day to start her new life. On the day that I married, it also rained like crazy. But I was told rain brings good luck and I have been married this May for 32 years. Guess it works :)
