Paper Players 198

Happy Sunday, peeps!  Sandy is our Paper Players hostess today and she has a great theme challenge for us:

This theme could be for weddings or for anniversaries…..I just happened to need a wedding card for my niece’s upcoming nuptials!  Sandy’s challenge gave me a chance to use a sentiment from the retired Word Play…this sentiment had never even been inked up!  Here ya go:

Paige’s colors are gold and pink, so I heat embossed the sentiment in Gold Glory embossing powder:

and stamped the leaves from Papillion Potpourri in Encore Gold ink on some MME papers.

I adhered the layers to a Confetti White card base; some pleated ribbon in Blushing Bride completed the look.  I used Mary Jo’s Technostamper sketch 316 from this week as well:

As you know, this is probably my favorite go-to sketch, so I had to play along!  Now, what wedding-themed creation will you share with us this week?  Can’t wait to see what you come up with!  Check out the beautiful samples the design team has created…they will knock your socks off!

Cassidy was spending some time “writing” with her baby dolls:

  1. Beautiful wedding card. I have a hard time with wedding cards. They is perfect.
Cassidy looks so content in that big comfortable chair.

  2. Great card and great sentiment, love it! The pink/gold color scheme is so pretty. I'm sure your niece will love this card, too.

  3. This is just lovely LeAnne, I really like the leafy sprigs stamped on the stripes!

  4. Such a soft and romantic card, LeAnne. Perfect for a wedding!

  5. Oh what a beautiful wedding card. I love this colour combo. We have 4 weddings to attend this summer (there are actually 5 but we can't make it to one) so this is possibly going to be cased;)
Cute picture of Cassidy with her baby dolls.

  6. Very pretty, LeAnne! I love how you stamped in gold over the striped paper. The ribbon is a great touch!

  7. LeAnne, this is so pretty. The ruffled ribbon is perfect for a wedding card and I love the leaves stamped over the stripes. It seems that I have to rarely make wedding cards, so am not surprised that you hadn't inked up this sentiment. Really lovely wedding card.

  8. Oh LeAnne, these colors are so pretty together! I love the texture of the ribbon and your stamping on DSP--just fabulous, as always!

  9. What a Lovely card! And I love your choice of colors.

  10. Just stunning! Love every single part of it. Thanks so much for playing along with my sketch challenge last week!
