Merry Monday 39

DSCF0398

Merry Monday, everyone!  Another super sketch from Lesley….I really had a lot of fun with this one:

Another vintage one….sorry!  Just can’t help myself!  I found some fun papers in a MME Fly a Kite tablet that were perfect for a vintage card:

Here it is from the other angle:

I am thinking that this Santa has rather a stern visage!  But I still love him!  I also added a panel of vintage newsprint, to help it qualify for the Sugar Creek Hollow challenge of “Texting-Vintage Style”!  I think the sentiments on the front as well as the inside qualify for “vintage” text, too!

I hope you’ve been following along with us, increasing your stash of Christmas cards this year!  If you’re just starting, there’s still time to get ahead!!!  Share your pretty creations with us at Lesley’s blog, Playing With Paper!  As always, feel free to email me with any questions you may have!

Cassidy has learned her colors and decided to decorate the porch handrail with ALL of them:

Enjoy your day and thanks for visiting!

Hello friend! I love your vintage card - the ribbon lace detail makes such a fantastic accent and I love the softly sponged edges. Such a perfect vintage Christmas card with that great Santa image!

Hope you do well with Sandy! I plan to hunker down in my craft room and get caught up on Christmas cards if I can. So don't fall over in shock if you see a card from me submitted to Merry Monday this week! :)

Oh my word, that cute little face just popped up in my 'google reader' list so I thought I'd come over and say a) she brightened up my Monday morning and, b) that vintage Christmas card is WONDERFUL. Love the images and the muted colours. Happy Monday LeAnne :)

Great vintage card and that Santa does look a little stern.

You make some of the most incredible vintage cards, and this is definitely one of them! I love every wonderful detail! Your budding artist is very proud of herself - I love that big smile :)
Stay safe - it appears we're going to be held captive by Sandy for a day or two!

Sweet photos of Cassidy. Love the last one, just darling.

At first I thought that was some fall picture painted on there. She is quite the little artist. That storm that is coming will wash that all away.
Beautiful card! I love vintage and the image on this are wonderful.

Love all your vintage cards. My great granddaughter, 2 1/2, loves to play with sidewalk chalk. Your little one is so precious.

oh my gosh! your little artist is as adorable as she is talented... i love the look on her face in the last pic... i think i probably look like that when i've made a card i'm especially proud of, lol! :) (not as CUTE, tho obviously!)

speaking of lovely, i actually came to say how ♥GORGEOUS♥ your card is, but somehow i got distracted!!! i love that santa, but yes, he looks a bit stern... probably just giving the kids on the "naughty" list one last chance to straighten up & fly right! :) :) :) (love this card!!!) ♥

Great take on the sketch! Love the colour combo and great image you used. I had to giggle at the pics of Cassidy using the chalk on the railing. My kids used to do that to the swing set and it was so fun to look out and see all the bright colours on it. Best part is they had a clean slate after every rainfall :)

Hi LeAnne. I never realized before that you are also from PA (I noticed it in the beginning of your following post). Well, Hi there, neighbor! :) Your card is really pretty, and I love the lace strip under the snowflake embellishment. Beautiful GD you have there! :)

Hahaha! Look at her sweet face! I did that same thing when I was 3 in a brand new hotel with crayons, on the brand new hotel room wall. My mother was not impressed. Awesome vintage creation LeAnne, love the colours.
