MTS134 and CCMC416 Swirly Boat

Happy Saturday, peeps!  Do you have some cool activities planned today?  I will be INSIDE enjoying some a/c today, LOL!  I have a card today featuring Swirly Bird, and I have used the Match the Sketch sketch and the colors from Create with Connie and Mary:

CCMC416

And here we go:

I created my vertical panel with a piece of By the Shore DSP, a diecut from Swirly Scribbles and the diagonal image from Gorgeous Grunge.  I wish now I had added another little piece of diecut on the right side...oh well!  My little boat is from Swirly Bird, mounted on a piece of Very Vanilla and a scalloped square of Mint Macaron, diecut with Layering Squares....I just haven't had a chance to use those dies enough, so I hope it's okay I substituted a square for a circle!

I added a wee little flag (Swirly Bird) and star (Labeler Alphabet) to my boat, then stamped a sentiment from a past Paper Pumpkin set along with another smaller star (Itty Bitties).  The finishing touch was a length of  thick baker's twine, knotted and frayed!  These are great colors together!

Cassidy made a swimming pool for Michael from a big bowl....although I am not sure why she just didn't use the kiddie pool...all the other dolls end up there!  And the bandaid is from the first bike accident...just a little scrape but you might have thought her leg had been cut off.  All is well now, though!

Enjoy your day, and be sure to stop back tomorrow for a new Paper Player's challenge!

Super adorable card, LeAnne! Love the little sailboat and the nautical theme you have going on with this card! I have yet to use my Swirly Bird thinlits, sad I know! The first thing I saw on the picture of Cassidy was the bandaid on her knee. She is not the only one with a boo boo from a bike ride. My petal clipped my ankle the other evening when we were riding and i'm sporting a bandaid too! Always something! Stay cool and have a nice Saturday! :)

What a cute sail boat card LeAnne! I love the detail on the right hand side and mounting your boat on the layered square is genius - great use of this week's CCMC colours! Poor Cassidy - 'war wounds' from bicycle accidents are something of a right of passage aren't they - good to see she's still smiling though!

I love how you combined all the different elements. Love that diagonal stripe and how that design is also repeated on the sail of the sailboat. Very fun card! Thank you for stamping along with the Create with Connie and Mary challenge.

Square for a circle is completely okay. Always feel free to adapt to the shapes you have or want to use.

Thanks for playing with us at Match the Sketch!

Fabulous card LeAnne. I love how you've combined the challenges and how you've gone for a vertical layout rather than a horizontal one! Thanks for joining us at Create with Connie & Mary this week!
