Paper Players 380 Apron of Love

Happy Sunday, peeps!  Laurie is our Paper Players hostess this week with a wonderful color challenge, one of my favorites!  Here we go:

I just got Apron of Love, even though I told myself I was NOT going to, but it was so cute, I gave in!  I used some retired Sending Love DSP to make this simple fun-fold card, the idea for which I saw on Cindy Brumbaugh's blog; (you can see it here, she lists all the measurements!).

I always need get-well cards, so I thought this would be a cheerful color combination; I stamped the flowers in the "pocket"...isn't it cute?  Seeing that little scallop edge is what sold me on this bundle!  I added little red accents:

And some hearts on the inside.  I left the bottom panel unstamped so I could write a little note on it:

This is such a classic color combination, there were lots of ideas floating around in my head!  I hope you'll play along so we can see your ideas!  Check out the DT's creations at the Paper Players blog!

I don't have any pictures of Cassidy today, but I did receive a picture of my newest great-nephew Sawyer with his big brother Jameson and daddy!  Jameson had a nasty illness for a few days, so he had to stay with his mom-mom while his mommy gave birth to Sawyer!  Now everyone is healthy and they finally got to meet each other.  I believe at one point, Jameson told his mom, "Your new baby is boring!"  Out of the mouths of babes!

Enjoy your day and be blessed!

LeAnne your little get well apron is adorable and looks so clean and fresh in this colour combo. Love the scalloped pocket detail - it sold me on this set too! What a neat fancy fold too - I like how you used it vertically, I’ve only seen it used horizontally before yet it works well. Cute baby picture - looks like the beginning of fun times!

Oh LeAnne, this card can't be more adorable and sweet, the apron is super cute and cheerful and this fun fold design totally showcases it along with the fabulous DSPs.
I love cards with certain fun folds that allow the recipient to display the card after they receive it, this one is awesome, I've never seen it before so thank you for the link to your friend's blog where she gives the measurements.
Now, Congratulations to you and your family for this new and adorable little Angel, he is just so beautiful and his big brother too, what he said about his baby brother is so sweet and innocent, but just wait till he can play catch with him, they will have a blast.
Thanks for sharing.
XO
Maria.

I still have this DSP and the way you used it makes me want to get it out again and not use it strictly for Valentine's day. I love that apron, but I am not going to cave! I do have an idea up my sleeve though. The men in your family are all quite handsome

Very sweet and cheerful, LeAnne. The scallop edging is lovely but it's the way the apron strings spread out that has me!

So cute, LeAnne. I'm like you and gave in to this set after saying I wasn't going to purchase it. After seeing your card I'm even happier that I gave in and can't wait to try it. This DSP is perfect with that cute apron and I love the fold!

What a fab fun fold card and you've inspired me to step out of the box and try something different outside the "A2" box! The apron is so cute but I'm chanting "no more shopping this month!" Hope you're having a great week ~ Hugs, Annie
