TSSC364 and RRCB16

DSCF0394

Happy Wednesday, peeps!  I have a card for two challenges today; the sketch from Technostamper:

and the Retro Rubber twine or ribbon challenge:

RRCB16

If you’re like me, you make cards and then they don’t get mailed out, or they’re not for the right occasions or whatever!  I am committed to sending out more cards, especially to my TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) friends on their weight loss journey.  We all need an encouraging note to keep us motivated!  So that’s what this card will be for!

I found these gorgeous papers in my stash from a tablet called Stella Rose by MME, and I thought it would be pretty for the sketch.  Since the Retro Rubber wants older stampers, I pulled out SU’s Friends 24-7 from several years ago and stamped the bird and butterflies in SU’s new In Color, Delightful Dijon:

I mounted the papers on some textured cardstock from a very old paper stack; added some Soft Suede and Gold baker’s twine; some sequins; and a couple of organdy roses:

The sentiment banner is from SU’s And Many More, stamped in Soft Suede.  And I wasn’t sure about the Delightful Dijon color, but it’s growing on me…it’s a nice, warm shade and I think I’ll like it for fall!  Thanks for visiting today!

Cassidy asked her mommy to take a selfie of them both!  Cute!

Beautiful paper, LeAnne! I'm hoping these new colors will grow on me. This reminds me of More Mustard which was a favorite of mine, especially in the Fall. It's a perfect match for the paper you had! Love the bird, butterfly and sweet flowers!

This card is absolutely beautiful LeAnne and ANY one of your friends would be thrilled to receive it! The older Cassidy gets, the more she looks like her mommy!! What a sweet photo of your pretty girls!

What a nice idea to send notes of encouragement to your friends. I'm sure they will appreciate the support as they go on their weight loss journey. And what a fantastic card this is. I love the monochromatic colors. It's vintage and yet the sequins give it a little modern flair too!

Very pretty!! I am very much like you, LeAnne! I have boxes of cards around here. My husband keeps wondering why I make more. lol I love this new color! It reminds me of More Mustard but is more elegant somehow. Your cards are always beautiful and this one is no exception! Details are perfectly done. Thank you for playing along with Retro Rubber this week and hope you will play again soon!

Absolutely beautiful card. Love that you use retired elements: not all of us can afford to ignore what we already have.

Ah, it's been too long since I've been by to see sweet Cassidy! Look what a little lady she is turning into!! Your card is divine, LeAnne! I love that you let the pretty paper be the star of the show! (I swear, I could make a card a day for the next twenty years and not run out of paper to showcase in cards!!) It's a beautiful design in every way!! Thank you for playing at RRBC! Enjoy your day!! Hugs, Darnell

Hi LeAnne! That paper is scrumptious! And then you paired it up with the new Dijon (which I call delicious Dijon and like way more than I thought I would!) And then you combined these challenges perfectly! Am I surprised? Absolutely not! Fantastic job!! Thanks for playing along with Retro Rubber!
