ATCAS142 and HSS295 Rooted Birthday

Happy Monday peeps!  Boy, after the busy weekend we had, my mojo is in the TANK!  I cannot muster up any creativity today!  I squeaked out a couple of masculine cards for the Hand Stamped Sentiments sketch and the Addicted to CAS: Masculine challenge:

I still have lots of DSP from last year's catalog, so I pulled out this crackly-looking one (I am too lazy to look up the name of it!!) and stamped the tree from Rooted in Nature directly on top using Mossy Meadow ink and an Early Espresso marker for the trunk:

The flip side of the paper has monochromatic stripes, so I cut off the bottom one, which matches Soft Sea Foam almost perfectly, and stamped some leaves on top.  The sentiment is from Perennial Birthday, and if you look closely, you can see a little row of diecut dots above the Mossy Meadow ribbon; they're from the Swirly Snowflakes thinlets die...so cute!  I did another one, a little more "somber" using the Wood Textures DSP, same sentiment, same stamp, same ribbon, same die:

This one is mounted on a Mossy Meadow card.  Simple and easy...that's all I can seem to muster up today!

Speaking of trees, on Sunday after church, we went to Go Ape at Lums Pond, Delaware, which is a tree-top/ziplining "adventure"!  It was my birthday present from Dana and Wayne, and we took the "junior" course because Cassidy was with us, and us older folks couldn't handle the rope ladders, ziplines over the pond and Tarzan swings through the trees!  I can't figure out how to embed the videos of us ziplining here, but if you're on my FB page, you might be able to find them!  You will just have to be satisfied with some photos otherwise!  Here we all are at the beginning...happy, smiling, not sweating too much (it was HOT!):

We all had to wear harnesses, which are rather uncomfortable, and accentuate various parts of your body that you might not prefer to be accentuated, but so is everyone else...so we just dealt with it!  Here's Cassidy in hers:

Here I am, about 15 feet up in the air, crossing a wooden pathway...this one was easy!  And see what I mean about the accentuating?

Here are Cassidy and Dana on a different type of bridge; this one was much more challenging...the look on Cassidy's face pretty much says it all!  This was on a level 2, but we all made it through just fine!

They call this the "taco"...and believe me, you feel like a taco, trying to squeeze through the net!  Dana seemed to be having no trouble at all with it!

It ended with a little zip line ride, which we all did at least two or three times!  We were hot and sweaty and not quite as chipper at the end:

It was definitely fun and I think AUTUMN would be a good time to go, LOL!  Enjoy your day and be blessed!

Wow, wow, wow! What an amazing looking masculine card. I could see this being a nice masculine sympathy as well. The tree looks fabulous stamped right over the top of the crackled paper. I still have so.e ov this paper as well and this totally makes me want to use it up! I may have to case. The leaves stamped on the bottom make such a pleasing and simple accent, too! Thanks for sharing your card with us at Hand Stamped Sentiments!

Thanks for sharing you outing pics and for creating two wonderfully masculine cards. I love how you used the monochromatic theme and how you paired the wood dsp with the Moss Green. Thanks for playing at Hand Stamped Sentiments.
