Paper Players CAS Challenge 43

DSCF0530

Happy Palm Sunday!  I am spending today with family, so this will be short & sweet, which is perfect for Jaydee’s Clean and Simple sketch:

Jaydee's CAS April Sketch 4-17-11

and here’s my creation:

PP43

I chose the lovely Blueberry Crisp for my background focal print, and the sentiment from the hostess set Afterthoughts.  I never even noticed that sweet little flower in the set, so I used it to decorate my horizontal panel.  A layer of scallops (the flip side of my paper) decorates the bottom.  I added a birthday sentiment from Bring on the Cake on the inside, so I’ve got a bright birthday card for my stash.  I hope you can find some time to play along with this quick easy sketch.  Show us your stuff over at the Paper Players blog and you may become a Cut Above or even a Headliner!!

  • Stamps:  Sanded, Afterthoughts
  • Paper:  VV, Pacific Point, Blueberry Crisp
  • Ink:  Pacific Point
  • Acc:  Scallop Border Punch, Wide Oval Punch, Dimensionals

This is such a pretty card. In fact I have enjoyed a lot of your cards. We too keep a grandchild, a 3 yr. old boy. We gave up vacations and holidays, but haven't regretted it a bit. Well, sometimes on a fussy day, but the thought is fleeting. Soon he will have a baby brother and we will be spending our days with him too. We are blessed to be a part of their lives!
