Happy Fourth of July eve, everyone! Arielle has a patriotic color theme for us today:
You can see that patriotic colors can be used for lots of other items as well---isn’t this dress so pretty?! For my card, I used a new set, Bootiful Occasions, along with the sketch from Sketch Frenzy Friday:
and here is my simple little card:
I wouldn’t say this was my most original card---I think my mojo went on vacation and forgot to return! I will keep plugging along and hope it makes an appearance again! I used the new Chevron embossing folder; stamped my Calpyso Coral boot in Poppy Parade, and stamped “celebrate” from Fabulous Phrases in Brocade Blue on a little banner from Itty Bitty Banners. I added another banner in some “denim” DP and a piece of denim ribbon under the sentiment, as well as some star brads and red rhinestones for some kickin’ boots:
I did cut the sentiment apart from the boot, and I’ll stamp that on the inside: “Kick up yer heels!” Cute! I hope this will give you some inspiration to create your own special card or project, and share it with us on the ColourQ blog! There are some amazing creations there!!! Be sure to stop by and give the designers some love!
We had a lovely weather day yesterday and Cassidy expended a LOT of energy pushing her little toy through a puddle on the driveway (made by yours truly---a watering can of water is a wonderful thing!):

Love your card LeAnne! I can't wait to get my boot stamps...hopefully tomorrow! I wish my kids could see my mom more often. You're such a fantastic grandma!
I like the card a lot. The boot is perfect on it.
I know you are glad Cassidy is back. Cute pictures. I love seeing her everyday.
Have a great day.
Oh she looks like she is having a ball!
Great simple little card. I would say not simple. It has a lobe of wonderful detail.
Oh my goodness what a fun fun card, I think that boot is awesome. Your mojo is far from gone. You need thoe boots to chase after you little monkey.
LeAnne, the card is adorable! You KNOW this set was one of the first on my list of HAVE TO HAVE sets in the new catty!! ;o)
I have to say, however, that Cassidy steals the spotlight in this post! Those pics of her are tooooo cute!! I love the one where she's kicking her right leg out and tilting her head!! Goes perfect with the inside sentiment....Kick up yer heels!! She's a DOLL!!
I love your "simple little card"!!! It's adorable!!!
Neat card, LeAnne! Can't help but give you a 'Yee-haw!' ;)
This card would fit in with Lawnscaping's 'Use Dimension' challenge. Just saw it a few minutes ago.
BTW, the dress in the ColourQ inspiration pic would look darling on Cassidy. Bet you thought that already, too!
Oh the joy of childhood and puddles!!!
Love your card LeAnne. Now I know I need that set & right away. It works perfect with the EF.
I love this card!! I knew I should have bought that set!
Can't believe how big Cassidy is getting!
The boot is a great idea for the sketch LeAnne! I always sigh over the ColourQ colour palettes - hope I get a chance to use them this week!

I absolutely LOVE those star brads.
LeAnn, this is a clever use of red, white and blue! and I think you still have your mojo! I love how you used those star brads to keep the star theme through out the card.
