Due to the changes in Stampin' Up! demonstrator policies, I will still be participating in the CTD challenges, but I will not be able to post them on their blog, at least not for now! So you'll still get to see my creations! Just a little change, that's all.
It is Tammy's turn to host the throwdown, and she picked the warm colors of Rose Red, Regal Rose, Mustard, Olive and Chocolate.....hmmm, those last three together sound like they might cause an upset stomach! But the actual colors are very nice together!
I pulled out a retired set called A Touch of Nature and stamped the bird on watercolor paper, because I felt like watercoloring! (I know there are probably NO birds in nature that really look like this, but I am claiming artistic license here!) A few "simple" embellishments and my card was done. Thanks for visiting today, be sure to check out the CTD to see what the others have done!
- Stamps: Define Your Life, A Touch of Nature, Linen (both ret.)
- Paper: Confetti White, Watercolor, Old Olive, Non-SU DP
- Ink: Stazon, Rose Red, Regal Rose, Old Olive, Chocolate Chip, More Mustard
- Acc: Nesties, Dew Drops, button, Choc Chip Grosgrain Ribbon, Aquapainter

Gorgeous, LeAnne!!! That background paper is perfect and, who knows, maybe there's a bird that color in the Amazon or somewhere, LOL! Whatever, he's cute and I love your card!!
LeAnne, you are sooo right! A chocolatey olive with mustard on top sure would upset my GI tract!!!! That's just not right! BUT I love what you did with the color combo!!! Beautiful card as always! In my opinion, SU would just like to control the market-this is America-afterall, we welcome competition, that's what helps our economy!! So glad you are still able to be part of the Colorthrowdown team as I always look forward to your creativity!! :) Hugs, Mona

This is STUNNING, LeAnne! Love your pink bird that you claim creative license to! Totally deserved...it's one of the prettiest birds I've seen! That paper is just gorgeous also...so rich. Oh, and I've been putting off buying that sentiment stamp set FOREVER! Please stop tempting me...it's one of the more expensive sets! LOL Did you notice our layouts are kind of similar? Weird, huh? Beautiful card, lady.
This card is gorgeous!
Beautiful, LeAnne. One of the nicest things about crafting is "creative license". We can do whatever we want to..and no one can complain. ;-)
Oh a beauty! I really wish I would have bought this set.
