PP633 Thinking of You

Happy Sunday, peeps!  Time for a new Paper Players challenge, with Anne Marie as our hostess!  She has a fabulous, fun sketch for us today:

One of my customers and I were talking about shades of green last week and so I decided to embrace those hues!  I had a wee little bit of Dainty Flowers DSP left from SAB, so I pulled out some with predominantly green patterns and went to work:

I began with a Pear Pizzazz card base.  I cut the DSPs with one of the largest Tailor Made Tags dies, then cut another little piece of the end portion of the tag so I could "extend" it, with the seam behimd my sentiment.  I needed a sympathy card, so I stamped my "thinking of you" in Old Olive ink on some retired Naturals White cardstock. I diecut a few little sprigs from Mossy Meadow and Old Olive and adhered them to a circle diecut with the new Radiating Stitches dies.  It kind of reminds me of a little piecrust, don't you think?

I added a simple sentiment on the inside along with an extra little diecut sprig:

It's never easy to make sympathy cards but hopefully this one will bring comfort to the family!  Now, what will you create with Anne Marie's fun sketch?!  I think it's a great way to use up some of those scraps we all seem to accumulate!  Show us what you create over at the Paper Players blog, and be sure to check out the awesome samples from the Design Team as well!  Thanks for popping in today!  Enjoy it and be blessed!

So very pretty, LeAnne! This is the nicest sympathy card with those hues of green and pretty papers! Love the tags of DSP and your stitched panels. This will surely bring comfort to a grieving family. Great job on the challenge and Happy Sunday!

You and Tara have done my favorites...green and blue monochromatic cards. I may have to join in this week. I've yet to visit the other "players". Have a blessed day.

I love all these greens and wonderful prints! I'm still so grateful that you had that whole pack of old olive paper when I visited, LeAnne!
And YES it does look like pie crust!

I love shades of green - they can be both soothing and reviving in equal measure and your DSP tags make for a lovely sympathy card LeAnne.

Such a serene and soothing card, LeAnne. I love this paper. It's perfect for a sympathy card. The Radiating Stitches circle works perfectly as a backdrop for the die cuts. Beautiful!

Hello, LeAnne. I'm with you on sympathy cards - very hard and never feels like it's a worthy response to the other person's sorrow. But choosing a calming palette, like you did, is a good place to start. Your card is beautiful and will be really appreciated.
Xoxo, Fran

There is something about a monochromatic green card. So soft and serene! Sympathy cards are always so tough to make, especially when you need one. Just a gorgeous mix of soft patterns and colors. So pretty, my friend!
