Glimmer Poinsettia Greetings

Happy Saturday to everyone!  I haven't done a Christmas card lately, and there were several challenges that would fit the bill!  So first, here's my card:

And the challenges it fulfills are Christmas 24: Christmas flowers; Jingle Belles wants bling; and Just Add Ink has a fun sketch:

Image may contain: text

There's not a bit of stamping on the front of my card! First, I layered some retired Christmas DSP with a layer of Whisper White, embossed with the Softly Falling embossing folder.  I created a glimmer paper poinsettia with a Shady Lane Designs die, then added a Tim Holtz Seasonal Chitchat sticker:

I did a lot of stamping on the inside, using the (sadly) retiring Merry Christmas to All set in Real Red and Mint Macaron inks:

This is such a versatile set; it has lots of mix and match sentiments, some beautiful swirly things and stand-alone sentiments as well!  It will be one that I will keep for sure!  Thanks for popping in today!

Here are a couple shots from my yard yesterday---from the ridiculous to the sublime!  First, the sublime; my first bloom on my rose topiary tree:

And the ridiculous....well, he's not really ridiculous, he's pretty awesome...a little toad sneaking along my back shed in the twilight.  They have a knack for hopping out in front of me while I'm walking along the yard...not only do they scare the dickens out of me, they run the risk of getting stepped on!  Thankfully, I saw this one before any damage was done!

I also saw a chipmunk go under my porch, and John has seen raccoons in the middle of night, trying to raid the birdfeeders!  It's so much fun living in the country!  Be sure to come back tomorrow for a new Paper Players challenge, too!  Enjoy your day and be blessed!

Great take on this sketch, LeAnn! Love that glittery poinsettia with the patterned paper and embossed snow! Your rose bud is GORGEOUS! What a beautiful soft shade of pink. We have toads and frogs and lizards all around our yard. Sometimes they get in the house. I DON'T LIKE THEM IN THE HOUSE! Have a good weekend, my friend!

A nice hot day to make a Christmas card to cool you off, LeAnne! and it's a sweet one, with all that embossed snow!
As much as I love a toad... I'm TOADILY loving that perfect bud of your rose - it will be an inspiration on a card one day, I'd bet on it!

ps: we have a chipmunk too and tho i dread to think how much damage he's doing to the underneath of our on-grade deck and our retaining wall (the two places i've seen him) he is SO MUCH FUN to watch and i think must be quite young bc even by chipmunk standards he's teeeeeeny!
