Grateful Heart

Happy Saturday, peeps!  Hope you have something fun planned!  I think we'll go to the Veteran's Breakfast at our local senior center!  That's always fun!  I have a couple of cards to share today! Hope you can hang in there! The first one is a simple card for the CAS Color and Sketches challenge:

I pulled out some Hand Penned DSP and did a bit of diecutting first, then a wee bit of stamping as well:

I added a scallop of Blushing Bride, some foliage from Sparkle of the Season and a sentiment from Banner year:

Of course, everything is better with a little sparkle, so I added a few sequins too!

My next card is for our pastor's son...he's a real cutie, and I wanted to make him an extra-special card, so following some directions for a Vertical Stair-step card on Splitcoaststampers, I came up with this:

Here's a side view:

The card base is Bermuda Bay along with some miscellaneous printed paper I found in my stash.  Sentiments and number are from Number of Years.  I added some Bermuda Bay and Poppy Parade balloons, punched with the balloon punch, and I hand-drew the strings:

Hope he likes it!  I am entering this at the Little Red Wagon challenge, where this week they want to "Hear It For the Boys", as well as Debbie's new-to-me challenge of Anything Goes with a Fun Fold for Creative Creases!

And here's the birthday boy:

Thanks for popping in today!  Enjoy it and be blessed!

I love the pretty card you made for us at CAS Colours and Sketches LeAnne! The pretty paper makes a beautiful focal point but I love that you did a little soft background stamping too. The little tag makes the perfect sentiment! What a special card for the cutie with the massive smile too! I love the brightness of it, the clever shaped structure and the dynamic banners and labels and balloons - superb!! Vicky x
