RRCB139 Buttons of Love

Hi stampers!  It's Tuesday and time for a new Retro Rubber challenge, where we use stamps at least a year old or older!  We have a challenge that's near and dear to my heart:

I LOVE buttons!  I used to always use buttons on my cards, but the thickness caused problems in the mail, so now I mostly use paper buttons!  My card today has, well, let's just say I may have gotten carried away with the buttons....here we go:

My friend Martha gave me a little set of button dies that just happened to be laying on my desk, so I put them to work, diecutting a bunch of buttons that would closely match these adorable papers from Echo Park (I'd Rather Be Crafting), which were a gift from my friend Kathy!  (Don't I have wonderful friends?!) I hate to see a naked button, so I tied each one with a wee bit of floss and ran them down the left side of this "LOVE" panel:

The stamp set I am using is called Needle Little Love, from Paper Smooches, and it has been around for a few years, at least three or four years for me!  I stamped the sentiment, heart and thimble and either diecut or fussy-cut each one, then layered them with another button to "tie" them all together:

I had a bunch of buttons left over, so I stamped a Cornish Heritage Farm birthday sentiment (probably at least ten years old) on the inside and added the buttons as well:

I do love buttons "SEW" much, and I hope you'll find some inspiration from our button challenge this week!  Be sure to use stamps that are at least one year old, and tell us how old they are in your post!  Cannot wait to see what you create!  Thanks for popping in today!

Your card is a real homage to the sewer's craft! The little paper buttons are very sweet and the measuring tapes in the background are lovely.
