Happy Sunday, peeps! I am the hostess at the Paper Players this week, and I've chosen a fun, summery color palette for our challenge this week:
These colors seemed to say "summer celebration" to me, and since I am using the stamp set Nothing's Better Than tomorrow at my stamp clubs, I decided to use it for today's card as well:
I wanted to use the FMS sketch, so I had to make my card a larger 5" square to accomodate my cocktail!
I started with a diecut square of Tahitian Tide cardstock which I embossed with the Seashells embossing folder, sponging the raised areas with some white craft ink. I then added my elements from Nothing Better Than as well as Friends are like Seashell, stamping and coloring in the challenge colors:
I am sure my family would laugh at this card because I am adamant about not eating or drinking anything BLUE! But in my stamping world, I don't have to imbibe....I can just create, right?! My only other addition was a little blue faceted gem to dot my "i"! I did add a birthday sentiment on the inside so it is just waiting to be sent to someone with a summertime birthday!
I hope you'll play along with my color challenge this week! You can find all the details at the Paper Players blog, along with samples from the DT using this fun palette!
Speaking of drinking and/or eating things that are fake blue, Cassidy sent this to me last week. She and the family were at Applebee's and apparently Mountain Dew has this:
I could probably get that down, with all that ice, it looks pretty refreshing. But I'll just stick to my usual water or tea! Thanks for popping in today, enjoy it and be blessed!
"Consider what God has done: Who can straighten what he has made crooked? When times are good, be happy; but when times are bad, consider: God has made the one as well as the other. Therefore, a man cannot discover anything about his future." Ecclesiastes 7:13-14

Your card is wonderful! Winner, winner, cocktail dinner! I love these colors so I might try playing. Is it okay if I include black? Cassidy's beverage does look refreshing. Just hope it wasn't really Blue Curacao!! Have a blessed day.
LeAnne, what a fresh and fun color combo! Love that cocktail combined with the seashells. Reminds me of a tropical vacation! Have a great week!
An absolutely perfect card for your fun and fresh color challenge, LeAnne! LOVE it! The embossed sea shell background makes an amazing backdrop for your umbrella drink. Have a wonderful week!

Such fun!! Love this fun texture background and your great images. So glad you joined us this week at FMS!
Such a fun card, LeAnne! Great use of the colors. I must have had your card on my subconscious this week because I used that cocktail stamp for the first time ever yesterday :) Great job with that sketch too, I had zero ideas for it but you made it look amazing.
I loved your colour combo this week LeAnne and it suits your summery, beachy cocktail perfectly although I did chuckle you made it a blue one, knowing you had a thing about blue food!! Great way to make a feature of that lovely embossing folder too. Fabulous!
LeAnne, I just LOVE this color combo! So much fun and so many fabulous entries. Your card is so FUN! I love the seashell embossing and this drink looks just fabulous! Makes me long for trip to the beach!
Great combo of stamps, colors and theme!
This is just summertime on a card, LeAnne! Love the texture and how you paired the seashells with the cocktails. If you need me, I'll be on the next flight to BoraBora! Haha!
Love what you've done with the colors, Leanne this is delightful! I had a twirling costume in those colors. It got so many compliments!
LeAnne, I love your take on the sketch and this card just screams cocktails by the pool. I love all that wonderful texture and you really showcased these colors beautifully
