ColourQ98, SSC216 & STR75

DSCF6206

Oh, be still my heart---that’s what I thought when I saw Arielle’s challenge photo for this week!  I LOVE these colors—so oceany, beachy, summery!  What do you think?

And SOMEDAY I might learn to crochet and make some pretty little flowers like this!  For now, I had to be happy with paper and ink:

I used the Stampin 411 sketch 216 for this week:

and used my Flower Burst Embosslit to make my flowers, sponging them with ink to really bring up the colors:

I am never sure which is the right and wrong side of these, but I guess it doesn’t really matter.  I just liked how the sponging on the raised area intensified the colors.  I used some Patterns DP in three of the colors for my stripes, and a sentiment from Petite Pairs for my words.  This also fulfills the Shabby Tea Room Challenge 75, which uses this photo as a polka dot inspiration:

Oh, and here’s the inside:

I hope you find some time to play with these beautiful colors this week as well! Be sure to visit the CQC blog to see ALL the designers’ creations and link yours up too!  And stop back tomorrow for Color Throwdown!

I love to watch Cassidy waiting for Grampy as he comes home from work:

Incredible color combo!! Must say that I think the flower burst embosslit is just perfect for this -- not as bulky and will mail better too. Ms C waiting for grampy is too sweet for words - just love that girl!

Beautiful use of the colours. I love it.

And my goodness Cassidy is just adorable. Like Linda said, I think you probably like to watch her do everything, but that makes total sense. She's lovely.

AWESOME CAS card, LeAnne! Love how you cut out parts of those flower dies to accent the centers. Saw your pic over at TSTR (I actually played this week!) and had to come say hello. :) The baby is just too adorable!

LeAnne,

This card is so beautifully done. The colors are perfect, the flowers make me want to buy those embosslets and of course Cassidy is the star. She is SO toddler looking lately. Really sweet pictures of her that you share. Thanks, Martha
