Happy Tuesday, peeps! It’s ColourQ time, and you are going to “flip” for Arielle’s fun color inspiration today:
It seems like I haven’t stamped anything but cards, cards, cards, lately! So I perused my massive photo collection of Cassidy and thought this black and white photo would make a great scrapbook page using these colors:
Now, I have shared my phobia of scrapping….I always do really simple pages because I just feel intimidated by those 144 square inches of space! Plus, they are tough to photograph! (And already looking at this, I am seeing things I would change if I could do it again!) Anyway, this one is no different—a simple 12x12 Basic Black base, Pool Party Patterns DP and some pennants cut from Melon Mambo and Tangerine Tango:
The letters are from the Just Perfect Alphabet; I punched them out with a 3/4” circle punch and mounted them on the pennants, which are strung on some baker’s twine. The little clouds are a die from Lil’ Inker, cut from vellum cardstock and sponged with craft white ink:
The remaining embellishment is a flower using the Fun Flowers die and the Triple Layer Blossom Bouquet punch, centered with a Pool Party brad and mounted on a white doily:
Cassidy is too young to wear flip flops yet, but she does love to wiggle her toes in the grass! I just love this photo of her! And now that she is almost walking, here’s what I am dealing with in my craft room:
Thanks for visiting today—and please hop on over to the ColourQ blog today and play along with us! And if you have any questions about my page, shoot me an email!

Oh my goodness! Oh my goodness! Oh my goodness! I LOVE this page!!!! Those clouds are wonderful and the picture is amazing. I love the ones at the bottom. Time to get Cassidy her own SU started set. LOL
I love the clouds as well on your page - and that lovely stretched out pose! The pictures in the craft room made me laugh - yep she is going to need her own desk and tools soon!
Beautiful page for a beautiful little girl!
This is an amazing piece of art! It is simple, but that gives it the visual strength!
That cloud just about sent me over the edge, what a sweet little touch.
Oh my goodness, this is so precious!
fingers and fans, fingers and drawers....I had a little shiver run down my spine.
Squeal!!!! I love this page Leanne, so glad that you are scrapping:) Cassidy is just the cutest.
What a great layout using the sketch. She looks like she's just lovin kickin back & wigglin her toes in the grass. Such a great pic. You'll be happy that you've captured the moment.
I really like this page because you've showcased the photo of Cassidy enjoying her tootsies in the grass instead of filling the page with distractions! It's perfect just as you made it!
LeAnne, this is just PERFECT! No need for you to bushy about your scrappin this is fabulous. Love the B&W photo with these colors it has a fabulous retro feel. And the vellum clouds sponged with white craft look like spun air! Love everything about this page, bravo!
Your page is amazing! I LOVE it! And now I know that is just the little alphabet that I need. :-> Your page elements so reflect the mood of the photo, LeAnne, you did a fantastic job.
