Happy Sunday, everyone! It’s time for another Paper Players challenge, and it’s another sketch for you, this time by Jaydee:
Hmmm, I can see lots of possibilities with this one! I am trying to a: make sample cards with new sets for my clubs and classes, and b: make Christmas cards! So this fits the bill for both:
This is another image from Easy Events; I used the same technique as last week’s card, embossing the outline image with Pear Pizzazz , Versamark and clear embossing powder, this time coloring in the image with a blender pen. I added some glitter too:
I actually used my Scallop Edge Border & Corner punches to make a frame for my Cherry Cobbler Patterns panel—I haven’t used them in quite a while! It makes a pretty backdrop for that new quilted ribbon from the upcoming mini, and a Build-a-Brad:
I hope that this sketch gives you some creative ideas and you share them with us! Be sure to check out the Paper Players blog to see what all the other designers have come up with!
Wee Details:
- Stamps: Easy Events, Pennant Parade
- Paper: Whisper White, Cherry Cobbler, Pear Pizzazz, Nursery Nest & Cherry Cobbler Patterns DP
- Ink: Versamark, Pear Pizzazz, Cherry Cobbler
- Acc: Small Oval, Scallop Edge Border & Corner Punches, Nesties, Quilted Ribbon, Build-a-Brad, DD Glitter, Blender Pen

Such a pretty holiday card! and I love the brad...I have it but have never used them! Hope you are safe with this not-fun weather! Thanks for all your kind words and inspiration this summer during my DT stint!
So pretty, LeAnne! Love the border you created around the image. That quilted ribbon looks so lush and decadent - I should have preordered it as well but forgot all about it. Hope you made out well with Irene and are in the process of drying out now (or soon). She just arrived here but her advance party has been around long enough - anxious for her to get outta here! :-)
Hi Leanne,
I've been checking the paper players site all day for the challenge but it hasn't been posted, so I checked your site and have got the sketch from here, didn't know if the other site has a problem,
Kelly xx
Really pretty card LeAnne! I love this sketch.
This is REALLY pretty LeAnne, I love the white background and the scallop border. SO happy you are ok and that the weather is getting better.
Love this card LeAnne! If you don't mind - What size did you start with for the punched mat?? Darling card, casing for sure...Barb
What a clean and classy holiday card! I love the little extras, such as the glitter! Your border is perfection!
This is such a beautiful Christmas card, LeAnne!I love the embossing and polka dots.
Thanks for all you encouragement and support over the last 3 months. I've had so much fun!
Great minds do think alike, eh?! Love your card--the pear pizzazz is so pretty with cherry cobbler. Love all the little details and the quilted ribbon bow is gorgeous. So glad you came through Irene safe and sound! :-)
Love your classy Christmas card LeAnne! I haven't used my scallop border in ages as well....hmmm...I haven't even inked up lately....I'm feeling a little nervous about getting in the stampin' groove...hope it's not lost!!! TFS, have a wonderful day ~ how are you all doing on the east coast ~ praying all is well LeAnne
LeAnne very pretty colors (pear / cobbler) against the white..so crisp. Love the little branch on your christmas card. You and Nance both usee this stamp which I don't own, but now I have to have it.... Love the quilted ribbon, scallop edges and brad to top it off. Hugs.
I love this LeAnne! The ribbon on the white background is beautiful on its own (the ribbon is so yummy!) and your border details make it that much more stunning.
Fa-la-la-la-FESTIVE, in every way! I love how the colors pop off the white bachground. SO many fabulous details. Love it! :)
