First, I want to thank everyone who encouraged me to hang in there with my new haircut! I can finally look at myself in the mirror and not get physically sick to my stomach....my friends have been very supportive and have told me they actually liked it, and I have gotten lots of chuckles from my blog friends, as well as suggestions to wear hats, scarves and a wig! Thank you all!
I haven't had much time to stamp or blog, and it is driving me crazy because I have all these new SU products and no time! But tomorrow it is going to snow so I am going to snuggle in and play! Meanwhile, I did get a few minutes today and came up with these cards I'll be sending to some friends:
I love this little hostess set, Darling Dots! It is darling! I paired this little ladybug with the "hi" from Say it with Scallops and made a monochromatic square card in red and white. The DP is from the hostess Patterns pack; I punched out lots of the elements with some circle punches and a scallop punch and finished off with some faux stitching.
SU came out with some heavyweight textured DP that is just gorgeous! This card is made with the Parisian Breeze Specialty line....ooooh, I just want to hoard each and every piece, it is so pretty!!
The base of this card is just a single piece of Baja Breeze, rounded at the corners. The top portion is actually the card; the plaid is part of the inside of the card. I used the new Eyelet Border punch at the bottom of the card and along the side mat, and I watercolored the floral image from Always in my Thoughts, stamped on watercolor paper. (I know they're daffodils and I made them blue--artistic license!) I made a one-hole bow for the bottom portion, so the ribbon wouldn't slide off. You can see how to make it here. Now here what it looks like on the inside:
As I look at this card, I think I could have added some more elements and it would have looked even better, but it is on its way!!! I'll just have to play again with this set! It's getting late so I won't post recipes. I have some sketches to play with, Valentine projects to work on, so much stamping fun and so little time! TFL!

Very cool. I love the second card.... so have you taken a picture of all your new stash to show us???
I really like these cards, the paper is wonderful!!!
I am glad you are feeling better about the hair cut.
I like what you did with Darling Dots. Super cute.
Hi LeAnne... I need to see a picture of your horrible haircut!!
It is probably not as bad as you think!!
Fab cards...
These are both so pretty! I love the lady bug-simple graphic design! And I love the lace trim and colors on the second card! I didn't know you had a new haircut so I can't compare it to the old one, but you look mahvelous!
So, you into Nike's? LOL!
What's all this about the Jordan and Nike Dunk shoes?? I didn't get it.
Super cute with the ladybug! And LOVE the second card with that eyelet punch. The flower pot is gorgeous too, and your coloring on it!
