Today, I made a very quick little card for three challenges. SCS’s Free for All was to make a summer-themed card; CAS-ual Fridays was a shaped card, and the Pals Paper Arts had a summertime blues color challenge of Not Quite Navy, Marina Mist and Bashful Blue.
Growing up, we spent our summers at the Delaware shore; I have lots of memories of swimming, sunning and collecting seashells, so I pulled out a retired SU set called Beautiful Beach for my little oval-shaped card:
The small-sized card paired with the large image made me decide to do CAS; I embossed the starfish with Marina Mist and Versamark inks and clear embossing powder, then filled it in with Bashful Blue ink; the background was a shell image that I repeatedly stamped in Bashful Blue as well.
The inside has another shell and sentiment:
I think this will be perfect for a summer birthday!
