Woohoo! I am the hostess for today’s CTD, and these are the colors I have chosen:
My inspiration was some beautiful Wisteria paper from Basic Grey; so many yummy patterns from which to choose! Be sure to check back on the CTD blog for all the participation details and play along with us…I would love to see what beautiful creations you can come up with using these colors! And of course, they’re ALL retiring, so let’s give them some love!
I needed a get well card for a sweet friend who recently had some surgery, so this is what I made for her:
I remembered some stamps I had from Starving Artiststamps, these cute little dragonflies, and I thought they would be perfect for this card, which also uses the Unscripted Sketch #51 for this week:
They are stamped in SU’s Basic Gray and colored with Copics; I added some bling to them:
and I pierced the bottom of the card freehand, following the scallops….I thought it came out pretty good! Oh, I added some bling there too:
And the inside, with a sentiment from Waltzingmouse:

I haven't been by for awhile but when I saw your card on TCD today I decided it was time to stop by and say "hello". your card is beautiful and will make a sick puppy feel a lot better. I love the colors and bling and the dragonflies are outrageous.

This is B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L, girly! I wasn't sure about the colors at first, but after seeing your card, I was sold! This is a beautiful palette, and your card is a perfect example of how to put these colors to gorgeous use :] Those dragonflies are adorable, love your simple sentiment, and how you punched a border under the scalloped border!
