Bugs Out of the Box!

Yippee!  I get my computer back today---no more looking at goofy colors on DH's monitor!  I hope this card looks better on YOUR screen than mine!

Today's SCS challenge F4A8 was "Out of the Box"--to use the tutorial described so that your image pops out around the edge of a diecut!  Fun technique and one I have been wanting to try for a while.  Since today is busy, I chose to make a couple more CAS cards for my birthday stash:

It took me a couple tries to get the technique quite right!  But for the first attempt, I was pretty happy with how they came out!  The image and sentiment is from SU's Bugs & Kisses, paper is CC Garden Variety (love it!).  Ribbon is some retired SU.  To get the snail just the color I wanted, I inked him up first in Summer Sun, then inked again in Kiwi Kiss.....a combo!  I hope these make someone smile.   TFL today!

  1. These came out great! I checked out the technique, pretty cool! Thanks for sharing. ~Diane

  2. Love the technique! Love the cards! Too stinkin' cute!

  3. I love the snail with the 'pea' paper. Too cute. You did a great job on this technique!

  4. Well, you've got me smilin'! This is fabulous .l.. I love the stamps (of course!), and that super-cute DP, but your coloring of the snail takes the cake!

Love it ... now gimme back my cake! Have a fabulous weekend, Sweetie!

  5. How cute!! Great job of "out of the box"!

  6. OH awesome awesome papers! YUM! My fav color! I've always loved this little set too.

  7. CUTE! The Garden Variety paper is a good match for your "bug!"
