Just one more quick post for the day; this is for two challenges: Wacky Wednesday at Rubbernecker's blog, which was to use your favorite technique; and the Flourishes' Timeless Tuesday, which was to use beads. Deb Olsen made a beautiful card recently where the image had been stamped on Kraft paper and colored in, so since I love to watercolor, I decided to use the smaller version of the Sweet Violets:
While I am not thrilled with my background "haze" behind my image, I do love how this card turned out. I used the retired Floral background stamp on panels of Baja Breeze, Elegant Eggplant and Old Olive, and the retired Linen on the Eggplant Labels One panel. The absolutely-scrumptious-why-didn't-I-open-the-package-sooner ribbon is a RAK from Ellen Hutson with my last order.....this is the nicest ribbon! It matches perfectly with my card, although it doesn't appear that way in the photo. Finally, I added some beads to a yard-sale stickpin I found and did a couple little piercings on the corners. I am leaving it sentiment-less so that I can use it for whatever occasion arises!
