Paper Players 207

Happy Sunday, peeps!  Another Paper Players challenge for you today, with the lovely Sandy as our hostess, with a super-fun theme!  Check it out:

Now, I LOVE buttons….but I hate paying more to mail cards that are “fat” because of them, so I usually use paper buttons!  But some of my thank-you cards are going to be hand-delivered, so I thought I could get away with REAL buttons for this one!!!

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Paper Players 207 Thank You Pictogram PUnches Stampin Up

My sketch is #239 from Stampin’ Royalty, and I got so carried away, I didn’t notice until after adhering my panels that I have them layered incorrectly!!  Ooops!

I used a sentiment from Another Thank You and the little vase and stems from Pictogram Punches for my focal image:

The buttons are from the Brights collection a couple of years back…..still have LOTS of them!  And since that right corner looked a little bare, I added another little stem and flower….can you see that faint Pistachio Pudding stem?

My DPs are All Abloom and Confetti Celebration; I used Strawberry Slush, Pumpkin Pie, Pistachio Pudding and Bermuda Bay for my ink colors!

Now, what button-y creation can you come up with this week?  Can’t wait to see it!  Check out what our other designers did too:

Thanks for visiting today!

Cassidy thought it would be fun to try on my gardening boots!

  1. Wow this is cute! So bright and cheery! And those buttons make the best flowers! Miss C is also pretty cute in those boots!

  2. The colors you used are fantastic together and I love the layout. Such a fun Thank You card!

  3. Super cute card! I love your button flowers!

  4. I love that extra flower you added - fun touch!
And speaking of fun, I have the same garden boots. Putting on those boots takes me away...

  5. Love this bright and colourful thank you card - those little flower buttons look great with that stamp too. I'm sure I have some too knocking around the back of my drawer, I must dig them out! Those fussy cut stems look like they were a challenge, yet it adds so much to the finished look. Stylish gardening boots too :-)

  6. Shhh maybe no one will notice the panels are layered wrong!! I LOVE those flower buttons and they worked perfectly with the vase. Marvelous card. CUTE pics of Cassidy, love that smile!

  7. I have really enjoyed the cards this week and the adorable pictures of Cassidy. The boots are so cute on her.

  8. That was a cute sketch, I like what you did with it. The flower buttons have always been a fave of mine, which I have been hoarding for some time. They look so sweet on your card!

  9. LeAnne! I love it! Love the button flowers! Very clever!

  10. This is adorable! Love your flowerpot with the button flowers and the diagonal panels on the sketch are awesome! Thanks for rocking my challenge this week, LeAnne!

  11. Oh LeAnne, this is just plain CUTE! What a sweet way to use buttons and incorporate the large sentiment into the sketch. And Cassidy in your boots and a Hello Kitty bathing suit? Priceless.

  12. The bright, beautiful papers are so fun! The little button flowers are adorable, too! That little flower that didn't make it in the vase makes me smile! Miss Cassidy in your boots is too darn cute! LOL! XX

  13. Don't worry about the layering being 'backwards', you can always take liberties with the Challenge ideas! Its all about the creativity!
you always make the most wonderful things...
