ICC102 Pumpkin Wreath

Happy Monday, peeps!  So happy to have you stop by today!  I have two cards using the beautiful gingham DSP from You're A Peach, which I totally forgot about until I made my Paper Players card yesterday!  Why was I hoarding it?  I loved the sketch from Inspire.Create, and I needed a pumpkin-themed card so it was perfect!

Our neighbors are an older couple and they have a fabulous garden every year!  He gave us some pumpkins (which I didn't photograph because it was dark when I made this card!!!) but I thought it would be nice to send them a thank-you card featuring pumpkins!  I used dies from Seasonal Swirls and cardstocks in all the colors of the pumpkins he gave us!

The wreath was cut from Soft Succulent with some extra Crumb Cake leaves, and the pumpkins are Very Vanilla, So Saffron, Lost Lagoon (ret), Mango Melody and Pumpkin Pie; the sentiment is from Little Delights, cut with a Tasteful Label die:

And of course, the sentiment from Pretty Pumpkins was perfect for the inside:

While I had the pumpkin set out, as well as the gingham, I made another card.  For fun, I embossed the gingham with the Stitched Greenery die, then heat embossed the pumpkin with white embossing powder on Soft Succulent cardstock:

The "hello" is from Biggest Wish:

I think this is one of the loveliest colors!

Our harvest party at church was slightly damp, but it did stop raining long enough for us to have our bonfire, go on a hayride and make really, really good apple cider!

After the initial cloud burst, it stayed a little cloudy, but we were treated to a rainbow!

Dana became pretty adept at roasting hot dogs over the campfire:

By the time the hayride was ready, it was a beautiful evening!

But my favorite part is watching them make apple cider!  The apples go into the grinder, then the press, and then out comes the cider!  Wayne got a good workout--here's a short video! (Make sure you're on my actual blog to watch it, not on an email!)

Enjoy your day and be blessed!

Looks like my my comment didn’t send…love your pumpkin wreath. Who makes the little pumpkins? Such a great day at your church…brings back my childhood memories. Did not get the video with Wayne grinding the apples.

LeAnne you know I adore every gingham card you publish, so this was a double-treat to start my Monday! BTW this is a blue I can happily live with, too!
Did you really get blue pumpkins?? What a wonderful neighbor - they deserve this sweet thank you!
I LOVE freshly pressed apple cider! Way to go Wayne!

Great video. For those who can't see, it's usually because they are in email mode...have to go to your web site. Lovely card. Wayne sure did get a work out. The guy pitching the apples was a pro, especially with the one that was trying to go awol!

Nothing like a wonderful gathering at a country church...miss that part of living in a large city...Church back home in Altoona/State College area always made apple butter outside over an open fire about this time of year...God bless you!

I love your use of Soft Succulent on these cards. It's a lovely color but somehow I haven't brought it out for my fall cards - but you've shown me it's beautiful. I love the way the pumpkins pop on it on the wreath.
