PP412 Happy Halloween

Happy Sunday, peeps!  I am the hostess at the Paper Players this week, and I have a tic-tac-toe challenge for you!  I think there are plenty of seasonal elements here for you to create something to your liking!  So here it is:

I have so many Halloween stamps, I have to start early to give them all some love, LOL!  For my card today, I used the center column of patterned paper, pumpkin and orange/rust.

My stamp is called Medium Jack-O-Lantern from Rubber Cottage, stamped directly on some Authentique paper and colored with markers, then diecut with a Stitched Shapes oval:

Behind the jack, I added some of the bare trees from the In The Woods Framelits....I thought they looked spooky, and kind of matched the twigs on which Mr. Jack is sitting!!  The banner is from the same paper pad, and it's hard to see, but I stamped some ziggity sewing lines down both sides, then added a little Sahara Sand tag, stamped with a sentiment and a few background stamps.  I also embossed the Very Vanilla layer with a chevron embossing folder:

On the inside, I stamped a sentiment and a couple of stars from a new CTMH set (like I needed more Halloween sets, LOL!):

Finally, the sketch I used for my card came from the FabFriday challenge:

The design team has come up with some beauties for the challenge, please check them out and give them some love:

This is such a cheery Halloween card LeAnne with that pumpkin lantern front and centre. I never think to stamp on DSP yet it’s so effective - it really adds to the colour and dimension, I think I need to give it a try! I love all the little details on your card, especially those twig branches and tag sentiment - visually so much going on, a really great card. What a fun board you came up with this week!

I am absolutely in love with your card LeAnne. That image is so awesome and looks fabulous stamped right on the patterned paper. I just love the whole vintage vibe on this one. That sentiment inside the card is pretty fabulous as well. Thanks for a fun challenge this week!

Ha! I remember you saying before how you had so many Halloween stamps (funny how I tend to stop by this time of year). I've been happily making a few Halloween card this year, too. They're so fun! Speaking of... love how you did the Jack-o-lantern on polka dot paper, and the twigs are perfect with the image. So cute! I'll be playing along later this week.

Well I think you know I love those polka dots, but that bat paper is awesome!! This is a fabBOOlous card LeAnne! Hope Cassidy enjoyed her Nerf Night. Our son and his two best friends in junior high school used to have Nerf wars in our basement while on rollerblades LOL!!

That is one frightening pumpkin! I like the little tag tucked in at the top too but my favourite is that lovely swirly bat paper. It almost makes me wish Halloween was a thing here. Great challenge this week, LeAnne. I enjoyed playing it.
