AHSC473 Happy B-Day

Happy Monday, peeps!  I am uber late today....just couldn't get my act together, LOL!  I have a quick little card for the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge as well as the Festive Friday challenge and the Global Design Project!

I chose to make a square card, 4 1/4" and I used a plethora of bee stamps I've collected over the years:

I stamped the honeycomb image in Bumblebee ink and the bees in Memento, then added some black sequins from my stash:

An old Cornish Heritage Farm sentiment and heart was stamped on the outside:

And some Darcie's Designs images were stamped on the inside in Smoky Slate:

My layers were Very Vanilla, Basic Black, and some SAB DSP from a year ago!  Thanks for popping in today....enjoy your day and be blessed!

PP591 Christmas Home

Hi peeps! Hope you're having a good weekend!  Laurie is our hostess today at the Paper Players and it's CLEAN and SIMPLE week!  Remember to keep your projects clean and simple with relatively few elements and layers!  Here's her prompt:

I remembered I had some Papertrey dies from waaaaaay back when, and there was a cute little house in the set, so I pulled that out and here we go:

My color palette is from the Jingle Belles for this week:

Yum....don't they look delish?!  I found some pink snowflake paper in my stash and diecut a circle from it, then added a Smoky Slate scalloped mat and stamped a sentiment from a past Paper Pumpkin kit:

I also stamped a little pink sprig and fussy-cut it out, embellishing it with a rhinestone. To get the sparkly pink heart, I daubered a big of Flirty Flamingo onto a piece of Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper.   Here's the inside as well:

There are lots of fun samples in the Paper Players gallery, created by our talented designers!  Be sure to check them out, then share your clean and simple house project with us too!  Can't wait to see what you create!

Dana and I had lots of fun picking out plants yesterday!  Her yard has lots of shade and mine has lots of sun, so we have to get different varieties!  She is willing to try new and unusual plants....I just stick to the same geraniums and impatiens that I like, LOL!  Here's a bit of her planting/potting ventures:

Thanks for visiting today!  Enjoy it and be blessed!

TGIFC368 Quiet Meadow Sympathy

Happy Saturday, peeps!  Another gray day for us...Dana and I are going to try to do some plant shopping between the raindrops!  I made a quick card using the TGIF sketch challenge:

I don't need a sympathy card right now but it's always good to have one on hand, so I pulled out Quiet Meadow and some Heart & Home DSP:

I simply stamped the floral image on a piece of the woodgrain DSP and diecut it with a Tailor Made Tag, then added a gingham ribbon.  I added a pretty neutral print from the retired Tidings of Christmas then added a couple of Stylish Shapes in Basic Black to create the vertical pieces:

I stamped the sentiment on the DSP, then mounted everything on a card embossed with the Timeworn Type embossing folder:

Thanks for popping in today!  Enjoy it and be blessed!

FMS535 Classic Birthday

Happy Friday, peeps!  I have a fun little masculine card using the Freshly Made Sketches sketch for you today!  Here's the sketch:

I keep forgetting that products from the mini catalog are still available, and I have a wee little bit of Hey Sports Fan DSP left, so I thought I'd combine in with He's All That for a "classic" birthday card:

I used pieces of the DSP to create my horizontal elements; the navy layer used the Ornate Layers die (retired), and the striped layer used the rectangular die from the All That dies.  I then stamped the car image on Very Vanilla cardstock with Poppy Parade ink and the sentiment in Night of Navy.  Each element was diecut with the coordinating All That die.  A little resin star finished it off, and I mounted it all on a panel of Very Vanilla that was embossed with a star embosing folder.

I stamped a sentiment from Your Biggest Fan on a stitched rectangle diecut in Night of Navy to put on the inside of my Poppy Parade card:

I like the clean simplicity of this!  Thanks for popping in today!

AHSC472 Sympathy

Hi there peeps!  Happy Thursday! I needed a sympathy card for a family from church, they're always a challenge to make.  Here's the Atlantic Hearts Sketch that I used to get started:

And here we go, using the new Happiness Abounds and some Heart and Home DSP, along with an embossed Very Vanilla mat and a Pale Papaya card base:

I used a panel of Heart and Home along with some retired plaid DSP in Soft Suede for the square panels.  I heat-embossed the flower in Stazon and Soft Suede inks, then colored it with some Pale Papaya ink and an aquapainter.  The prayer diecut and sentiment are from Papertrey:

I added some Linen Braid trim and a couple of Pale Papaya gems, then stamped this retired sentiment from Here's A Card on the inside:

Thanks for popping in today!

Dana sent me these pictures of Eden in their bedroom, looking out the window...she said Eden was listening to the birds, LOL!  Another birder like me!

Enjoy your day and be blessed!

The Card Concept 175 Jar of Flowers

Happy Wednesday, crafty friends!  It's time for a new Card Concept challenge, where we use different concepts to create our cards!  Today I have another clean and layered card (no surprise there!), but first, let's see the prompt that Julie has for us:

Isn't that so pretty!  What gorgeous colors!  I used the colors as my inspiration, along with the flowers and the jar!  Here we go:

I wish I had some pretty pale DSP in the pink shade that is in the photo, but I couldn't find anything that I liked, so I opted for the Pale Papaya paper from the Hand-Penned retired papers.  I pulled out my trusty Jar of Love and stamped some flowers in pretty colors and arranged them in my Pale Papaya jar:

I added a sentiment from Happiness Abounds, stamped on a Tailor Made Tag and added some Pale Papaya ribbon.  I also used the Stitched with Whimsy die around the outside edge of the DSP.  I'll add a sentiment on the inside when I'm ready to send this little pretty off!

I think this is such a gorgeous spring inspiration that I hope you'll play along with us at the Card Concept.  You can see all the "concepts" on the blog; be sure to tell us what concept you're using too!  Thanks for visiting today!

Cassidy just loves babies and Dana's friend was happy to oblige her by letting her hold her wee one:

Dana calls her a little Cabbage Patch!  LOL!  Enjoy your day and be blessed!

RRCB182

Hello stampers!  Today is a new Retro Rubber challenge, where we show some love to our older stamps!  Here's our theme prompt for this week:

Aren't those blooms pretty?  I don't have many tulip images, but I did have these big Tim Holtz flowers so I thought they'd fit the bill:

I stamped them on Shimmery White cardstock in Stazon Black ink, masking a few of them to give them depth.  I then loosely watercolored them with shades of pink and red.  To get the brick-looking background, I lightly inked up the inside of a brick embossing folder and pressed it gently on the cardstock.

Finally, I stamped the "hello" from a retired SAB set, fussy-cut it out and mounted it on a stitched banner.  Some matching sequins added some sparkle, and it all went on a Polished Pink card base.

I am also going to enter this at Just Us Girls, since their challenge this week is flowers!

This card is already out in the mail to a special recipient!  I hope you'll play along with us, and share your spring (or any season) flowers!  Just make sure your stamps are at least a year old and tell us the approximate age!  Splitcoaststampers is a great place to find the age of those older stamps!  Be sure to hop over to the Retro Rubber blog to see ALL the great floral creations made by the DT and share yours too!  Thanks for popping in today.  Enjoy it and be blessed!
